From the opening number "Two Minds," The Therapy Sisters latest effort, Beyond Prescription, provides an over-the-counter dose of great musical medicine. Tremendous songwriting sprinkled with fabulous arrangements. Add skillful musicianship, creative harmonies, and I call it one very listenable CD! My advice: Go find this CD in your local record store, plop it in and skip this weeks' appointment with your psychologist. My faves: "Pool" - "Secrets"- "Two Minds."

The Early Years is a good overview of the Therapy Sisters' work for those who are new to the group. Longtime fans will enjoy reminiscing. The music and harmonies are complex enough to be interesting but not distracting from the real strength of this band, the lyrics. These women have a real gift for capturing the human experience from the whimsical to the deep angst and joy of life.

Any Eric Clapton fan must own this album. This album is full of early recordings from 1963-1966 and includes some of his best songs. Check out "I'm Your Witch Doctor," "Boom Boom," "Snake Drive," and "Certain Girl."

5 out of 5 stars Finally... The Toddlers on CD!.......2003-03-23

I feel confident in saying that The Toddlers are the greatest folk-rock band ever to hail from Evansville, Indiana. These recordings are lo-fi, but they capture The Toddlers' unique sound and clever approach quite nicely. This CD collects the "best of" their songs from their three cassette-only D.I.Y. albums, plus a couple of nice new tracks. My only complaint is that "My Big Idea" and "For the Cows" don't appear... any chance that the rest of the back catalog might someday make it to digital format? At any rate, the songs that do appear are consistently well-done, with great, often humorous lyrics and memorable melodies. And I love that violin! I'm looking forward to the next CD, which I hear should be out soon.
