Editorial Reviews
Cheryl Turner , RAMBLES, July 14, 2001
Lovely vocals, excellent guitar, stimulating instrumental arrangements and familiar songs beg the listener to sing along. The sisters' harmonies shine.

Robert Gum, San Jose Chords, December 1989
Lilting vocals and refreshing enthusiasm mark this debut album from four young Californians.

Album Description
Originally released in 1989, SILVER DARLINGS features the silvery harmonies and striking arrangements for which this group, frequently referred to as "The West Coast's First Family of Folk Music," are known. The most traditional of the group's albums, SILVER DARLINGS offers four Gaelic selections, including the haunting and rarely recorded Tuireadh Iain Ruaidh (Lament for Red-haired John).

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful harmonies.......2003-01-11

The light, lyrical quality in their voices will lift your spirits, and the songs they've chosen mix history, story telling, and the spectrum of emotions. Whenever I play this recording, people ask where they can buy a copy.
