Tiger Tiger (Lee & Stephen Tiger) is not an ordinary American rock n' roll band! Inspired by the nature of the Florida everglades, their American Indian culture and Chief Buffalo Tiger (their Father) of the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida, the brothers' career highlights include initial recordings at Woodstock (later released in Germany on Sony's ZYX label). Their love of music and performing has led them to international stages as feature artists worldwide including concerts in Spain, Germany, France, USA & SOUTH AMERICA.

In the US the Tiger brothers rocked audiences with their unique 'native heart beat music' at New York's Gas Light Lounge in Greenwich Village and the Rolling Stone Club. From the east coast the band went on to hit the USA's west coast 'LA scene', performing at such well-known venues as Thee Experience on Sunset Drive in Hollywood, Whiskey-A-Go-Go, the Troubadour and Bag O' Nails alongside such groups as Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention. The band was also featured in concert at the Atlanta Pop Festival with Traffic, Allman Brothers, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Lesley West & many more.

Based in Miami, Florida national recording artists Tiger Tiger have headlined and graced the stages for numerous festivals and concerts over the years. They were featured in the First Miami Pop Festival along with Jimi Hendrix, Procal Harum, & Led Zepplin. At The Seminole Tribe's Big Rock Pow Wow they performed with Chicago, Edgar & Johnnie Winter, Grateful Dead & many more groups of that era. At Pirate's World in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida they performed along with several marquee acts, including Jefferson Starship, Blackfoot, Leonard Skynyrd, Steppenwolf, Deep Purple, Guess Who, Charlie Daniels, Quick Silver & Foxy.

Their last commercially released album Southern Exposure received a Grammy nomination. Their self-produced music video 'Lay Your Burden Down' took second place for Best Music Video at the 2000 American Indian Film Festival in San Francisco. The Tigers have recently completed their most exciting Native American cultural CD, 'Peace From The Everglades, Dedicated To The Survival Of The Miccosukee & Seminole People of Florida.' This CD received two Native American Music Award (NAMMY) nominations in 2005, for Best Pop/Rock Recording & Song/Single of the Year for 'Heya.' Future plans include touring and promotional opportunities in support of the new CD.

Beautiful and relaxing.......2003-06-21

I Love this CD. Beautiful ambient music. It has the strange quality of making me feel happy, although the music is not precisely joyful. Highly recommended, although it is strange. I think people often buy ambient music expecting something melodic. This CD is pretty much the same most of the time, but that is precisely what I was looking for, it gives you a 1 hour mood of cosmic sensuality. Listen to it first before buying it.

We were turned on to this album by our dear friends Wes Mahatt and Sonia Head. Within moments of putting on this beautiful album we were transported to a different and higher level of consciousness where we found the inner depths of our being were on a sublime journey to the outer limits of the third bardo.

I don't know if this was a good or bad recording.Actually,I don't have much opinion one way or the other.The whole album sounded like one piece of music stretched out for an hour.I listened to it 4 or 5 times,never got anything out of it,and traded it off.If this is what is called I don't think I'll be spending more time or money on it.

I'm not sure I would rate this as one of the best ambient recordings ever (I don't even think it's one of Rich's best efforts), but the material on it *is* different, engaging, and ideally meditative fare. The concept of the project is perhaps the most interesting part of it: an attempt to extract the slow, introductory part of the raga called the "alap" from its usual role and recast it as a stand-alone kind of ambient or trance music. In this effort Moskow provides a wandering, ethereal, Eno-like kind of play on the sarod over Rich's electronics and multi-instrumental backings. There are six parts to the cd, each of about ten minutes in length, but the division seems superfluous: here is one case where the thirty second samples of cuts one hears on services like Amazon's pretty much tell you the whole of what you can expect from the rest. I sense on this basis that this cd will either take its listener by storm (as it apparently did the other reviewers here), or produce a kind of effect that will lead to a couple of quick plays followed by permanent dust-collecting on the shelf.

One of the best "ambient" recordings ever done.......1999-10-27

This record is easily the best work I've heard from Robert Rich. Its deep, meditative, a seemless soundscape of beauty and imagination.

This record is as good as the other great ambient records of the last 20 years: Ambient 4 On Land (by Brian Eno), The Magnificent Void (Steve Roach), and Ambient 2 (Herald Budd and Brian Eno).

The music of the record is basically sound washes by Robert joined with classical Indian Sarod "solo" music by Lisa Moskow. To my mind it is a wonderful combination. The soundscapes created by Robert need the "natural" sounds of the Sarod to give them life.

This is the kind of music that you will take you to places serene, exciting and sensual. Just close your eyes, listen; the music washes over you in waves, tingling your senses. A sensual and mystical journey for the mind, I will reccomend this album to everyone.

the cd changed my sex life !.......2000-07-07

This cd changed my life for the better . I can not get enought of it . My significant other and I have spiced up our relationship for the better . We are now more open and adventureous . Some of the things that were said were hard to see with out pictures , so you have to be creative . This was a gate way for my wife and I to get out of the weekly routine , and it will blow your mind .

Tiger Tiger ROCKS!.......2000-05-03

Do you want to move? This band can do it for you! I saw Tiger Tiger perform 15 years ago at a Pow Wow in The Everglades, Florida when not many people had heard of them. They were a lively band then, and they're even more so now! Anyone interested in the Native America message set to a rock sound should get this album. No record collection would be complete without it.

I have followed Tiger Tiger for many many years. This CD is their talent come to fruition! I bought TWO copies! Just in case I wear one out! See them perform live is a treat! Their Indian Rock gets you moving while they get their message out!
