    This is a terrific example of what a great record can be. Intelligent songwriting, great singing and an excellent sound quality. This should be in the collection of anyone who enjoys the "Americana" type of music. My personal favorite cut is "Don't Let The Bastards Grind You Down." In the world of music there are plenty of imitators and posers. Bucky Halker is the real deal.

    Halker's lyrics are stimulating and thought provoking. The musicianship is superb. He has combined some of Chicago's most talented musicians in an album that deserves recognition in many venues. It is hard rocking, yet tender. Some great cuts include "Fire and Ice," "Color Outside the Lines" and "Poverty's Lament." All in all a great album.

    Passion, Politics, Love . . . the three things in life that can get you into trouble. A spectacular mixture of love and life. Halker combines the three elements of our existence that define who we are. These songs cross many genres of music from Rock to Country to Blues to Folk. Take a listen, you won't be disappointed.
