5 out of 5 stars Love Rollercoaster by Red Hot Chili Peppers!!!.......2007-06-27

Okay, well I bought Beavis and Butthead the movie the other day and I heard it- love rollercoater by Red Hot Chili Peppers. This is rare because I've been whanting this song ever sinse I saw the video from the song a LONG time ago. Like I was saying, it's rare because itunes doesn't have this song to download and I wanted to put this on my ipod. This cd has "Love Rollercoaster" by Red Hot Chili peppers. So if you've been looking for this song and can't find it anywhere, this cd has it.

5 out of 5 stars FLY AWAY LESBIAN SEAGULL!.......2005-10-03

Oh yeah; as if the movie wasn't enough without there being a killer soundtrack too? Beavis and Butthead were the most important thing on TV in the nineties; what happened to them? Anyway everybody went to see this movie like the first day it came out, then went and rocked out to the PISSAH soundtrack.

Its cool to see that you can still buy this new as opposed to 1993's BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD EXPERIENCE which is now only in the USED bin (get it anyway, its even better than this)....

You get CHILI PEPPERS: LOVE ROLLERCOASTER, a great song, only available here, OZZYS WALK ON WATER is wicked cool, WHITE ZOMBIE, thats right WHITE as in not ROB. I WANNA RIOT is an awesomely awesome ska track by RANCID and some friends. Theres early NO DOUBT on here, BUTTHOLE SURFERS (remember them?) and AC/DC which should sell you right there because AC/DC, they RULE they RULE.
Oh yeah and less we not forget LESBIAN SEAGULL an epic ballad that brings me hope and strength everyday!
I miss the empire that was BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD. Where's the rock now?

1 out of 5 stars Only one good song, the rest is stupid.......2005-09-30

As you can expect with a Beavis and Butt-Head soundtrack, but I had to have Love Roller Coaster by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

3 out of 5 stars 'Beavis&Butthead Do America'-Original Motion Picture Sdtrk.......2005-01-26

Huh-huh,you said 'bone'.....huh-huh,you said 'do it'.I always thought the movie and the TV series was much better than this here soundtrack.I mean,it's alright.I just don't listen to this CD all that often. The better cuts include Rancid's "I Wanna Riot",White Zombie's "Suicide Tanks",Southern Culture On The Skid's "White Trash" and an old AC/DC goodie,"Gone Shootin'".That pity ballad Engelbert Humperdink's "Lesbian Seagull" is a joke.Anyone who sings that song OUGHT to be shot.Huh,huh.....you dill hole,huh-huh.....you monkey spanked!

4 out of 5 stars not bad at all.......2004-12-23

i like most of this cd's songs. if i had the money i would by this in a heatbeat.

1 out of 5 stars Just goes to show what you listen to as you're younger.......2006-08-12

I was open to everything, and anything musical, so yes I even played this all the way through. I also watched a few of the cartoons in the show. I don't want to go back there again. I feel only one song was salvagable from this pile of junk, and that was the Red Hot Chili Peppers version of "Search & Destroy." They didn't try, and make it sound funky, but went with a full frontal sonic assult that would've made Iggy proud. However, the rest is horrific....especially on Aerosmith's "Deuces Are Wild". This is also from my horrible first few months in Florida. Which goes to show that either I was changing musically again, or Florida stations suck. This album does too.

2 out of 5 stars Disjointed rock album.......2006-05-21

For four years, Beavis and Butt-head was a very popular show on MTV. But this album inspired by that show left me disappointed. Most of the rock bands on here come out with very disjointed and uninteresting songs. Some of their worst efforts in their careers and they don't really rock that well. Even Megadeth's song sounds so self-deprecating in some cases. Sir Mix-A-Lot's redo of his song comes off as lame. And the Beavis and Butt-head number with Cher sounds silly and out of place. Come To Butt-head sounds corny. Only the Run-DMC song Bounce, and Aerosmith's rocking Deuces are Wild stand out of this mess. The others sound like they were left on the cutting room floors in studios and that's not good. Save your money on this sorry mess and buy something else!

5 out of 5 stars Classic In It's Own Right.......2005-10-18

I have always thought this CD was underrated, even when it was released back in the mid-90s. You can see the track list above, so I won't list them all here.

Why you should pick up this album: 1) Nostalgia. It will take you back to a time in music history that meant something - rocking out hardcore. It may have been considered crap back then, and considered crap now by some, but I believe this "crap" is better than much of the crap that is put out nowadays 2) For some great tracks 3) It's just good `ol fashion nonsense.

What will annoy you about this album: The skits are tied into the songs, and you cannot separate them. For instance, the opening track one is both a Beavis and Butt-head skit and a Nirvana song put into one track. This is very annoying if you only want to listen to a song and not the skits. The whole album is generally like this.

By far Nirvana's "I Hate Myself And I Want To Die" is the best overall song on the album insofar as the most genuine, and in hindsight, painful one, given the nature of the title of the song and what Kurt did to himself. But there are some other great songs, such as Megadeath's "99 Ways To Die." In general I hate rap, but RUN DMCs "Bounce" deserves a listen. Also, I don't know why Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Monsta Mack" isn't played anywhere. It is very catchy and funny at the same time, and it is one of the few, and best, rap songs I have ever heard.

I hope this album is re-released with a bonus "making of" and the skits are separated tracks from the song tracks. We need a re-release all you greedy fat cats, I'd buy it.

5 out of 5 stars The title says it all!.......2005-08-12

Listening to this album is like watching the MTV animated comedy. The album begins as if it was live. The announcer says,"Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready to rock? Would you please welcome Beavis and Butthead!". Butthead tells the audience(voiced by B&B creator Mike Judge),"Here's one we just wrote,HUH HUH HUH HUH!". It's Nirvana performing I HATE MYSELF AND WANT TO DIE. Butthead quotes,"That kicked ass!". Beavis quotes,"It ruled! It ruled! HEH HEH HEH HEH!". Before Anthrax's LOOKING DOWN THE BARREL OF A GUN plays,B&B checks out a tour bus containing Anthrax. After Beavis looks at an album of photos of naked females,he takes the album into the lavatory and pulls out the photos(it is claimed that one of the females was Beavis' shapely mother). Beavis actually went into the lavatory to move his bowels, needless to say. But B&B end up thrown off the bus. Judge, who has a songwriting talent as well, gives us the 70's disco-flavored COME TO BUTTHEAD. Megadeth gives us 99 WAYS TO DIE. Run D.M.C. joins B&B in spoken vocals before BOUNCE. DEUCES ARE WILD,performed by Aerosmith kicks major ass! DAW is an outtake from the band's 1989 album PUMP. It subsequently appeared on the band's 1994 album BIG ONES and on their 2002 ultimate compilation O YEAH! ULTIMATE AEROSMITH HITS. White Zombie's I AM HELL is OK. Primus' POETRY AND PROSE is cool. The lead singer claims he's "a Three Stooges man like Larry,Curly and Moe but once in a while I get a kick out of that Beavis and Butthead show!". Sir Mix-A-Lot's MONSTA MACK is pretty cool. I guess the most famous of all is Cher's re-recording of I GOT YOU BABE by the late Sonny Bono. She and Bono,as Sonny & Cher recorded the song in 1965 and was a Top 10 hit. Butthead asked Cher if she was once married to "that Bono(bah no) dude". Butthead was referring to U2's frontman Bono Vox. Cher replied,"Bono(bo no),Sonny Bono." Butthead thought that post-Sonny & Cher,Sonny was a San Diego cop. Cher said,"No,he's the mayor of Palm Springs(California)." Also there's awesome tracks recorded by Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jackyl. Following the conclusion of IGYB is a reprise of CTB. The reprise is in hip-hop form featuring an unknown(at least to me) rap/hip-hop artist. Between IGYB and the CTB reprise is audience applause and the announcer saying,"Ladies and gentlemen,Butthead has left the building."(is if Butthead were the late Elvis Presley). Beavis replies,"No he hasn't. He's in the toilet! HEH HEH HEH HEH!". If you're a B&B fan, this item is for you. New copies of this album are very reasonably priced to own. Of course, they cost several dollars more each when it was a new release in 1993.

The theme by Juan Esquivel cannot be left out, since is the cue for the second most enjoyed activity of B&B. There is no substitute for the laughs caused by the association between the theme and the activity the heroes are about to perform.

    5 out of 5 stars Incredible!.......2006-02-24

Beavis and Butt-Head. Legends. Icons. Musicians? I am 100% serious: This score rules (huh huh you said "score"). It is an awesome orchestra with supreme talent. "The Walk into the Sunset" is one of the most beautiful score tracks I have ever heard! Buy this if you ever get the chance!

4 out of 5 stars Huh huh huh....cool score and stuff...huh huh huh.......2003-05-27

How can a movie based on Beavis and Butthead have a score as good as this? Considering that most of the music in the film consisted of rock music, the score that was featured was great. Listening to the score, you would probably never guess that it came from a comedy film, much less Beavis and Butthead. There is some thematic material present in the score, but none that reoccurs throughout. The score starts out with a humorously titled cue, "Buttkong." Here, the music is loud and powerful with powerful horns and pounding percussion. "Dying in the Desert" contains a wild west-like sound to it, while "Searching for the T.V." contains some whistling noises. "Beavis the Sperm" is a funny track with dancing pizzicato strings and "Judgorian Chant" (obviously named after the director and creator: Mike Judge) contains Gregorian chants in which you have no idea what is being said. "The Walk into the Sunset" is a nice choral finale to end the film. Other tracks such as "DEFCON 4" and "The Standoff" are military sounding in nature with brass and percussion. The last 2 tracks "Aunque La Mona" and "Mucha Muchacha" should have been left off because they in no way contribute or support the score and quite frankly are dumb tunes. In fact, "Mucha Muchacha" made me laugh because it is such a dumb song. The London Metropolitan Orchestra performs the music with sheer power and the front cover of the CD is pretty funny as well. This score is hard to find, but if you can track it down, get it.

4 out of 5 stars No really, it's not bad........2002-01-21

I saw a review of this on a soundtrack site once. I thought the reviewer must be mad:
    1) to give it a good rating.
    2) to review it at all.
Shortly after, I ran across a copy and decided to jump the cliff, and indeed, this is a good cliff to jump off of. If you like any of John Frizzell's other scores, you'll quite likely enjoy this too. Basically it's a lot of over-the-top cop show parody music. It has a lot of brass, and even a bit of choir here and there. All in all, anyone who's actually looking at this (and everyone else who likes Frizzell's scores) would do well to check out the sound samples. It's big. It's load. It's fun. It's worth a listen even you're a rabid hater of the show.

who ever came up with and everyone who had anything to do with getting it put on the air and published, ought to feel ashamed of themselves for their negative contribution to the social degregation of our children, who are now almost grown and ready to live what they learned1
