Born out of a songwriting partnership between Bob Jordan and Doug Goldberg in the mid ‘90s, T.R. has become and institution in the middle of the east coast. The band consists of Bob on lead vocals and guitar, Doug on Guitar, Tim Reeder on drums, Joe McClure on bass and Judy Burke on violin. The band plays frequent live shows in clubs and festivals.       To be honest, the first time I heard this CD it just paralyzed me - I didn't know whether I loved it or hated it - it was nigh disturbing. So I just sat dumbfounded, listening to the intricacies woven in. After a few listens I knew I loved this music. It's complicated, technical and intelligent.

      If Quentin Tarantino had been a musician, this would have been his creation.

      For anybody out there who keeps Link Wray, Kraftwerk, Esquivel, AND Amon Tobin in their CD player and digs old 50's b&w flicks as well as a little sci-fi, this disc is a retro/futuristic must! It's fun AND scary all at once!

      Crazy stuff! Very hooky, but equally strange instrumental music ranging from "retro meets sci-fi" to really lovely ambient bits and the occasional latin groove. Think space-age roots music, or the soundtrack for a surreal road movie. The songs are all short--it's almost like a collection of retro instro singles, but from another planet. Very, very cool!
