On the track titled 'Breathe Deep' we hear a glimpse of a tragic past romance gone sour while the up-beat 'Round and Round' features hip-hop heavyweight Supastition. In 'Life is Cartoons,' Arecee proclaims that "hip-hop is stupid"; after watching MTV, I couldn't agree more. Lush self produced beats and deeply personal lyrics make this release a breath of fresh air in today's copycat music industry. Arecee's first release, "Direction for Children" featuring Sage francis, is currently in stores.

if it walks, talks, and quacks like good hiphop well it must be. don't even think about it. just buy it. arecee's second official release shows what hard work and dedication bring to the struggling sound of current hip POP. if you need respite from the inexplicable crap flooding the scene and stinkin up the charts, this is your album.

Radio Free Brooklyn is truly one of the best Rap albums EVER! And, yes, I stand by that statement. Proudly! Radio Free Brooklyn has great lyrics that talk about various subjects such as a nuclear attack (radio free brooklyn), relationships (for you), and the September 11 attacks (Might Be). "Might be" alone is the best song ever written about that day and worth you buying the album. Pete has great tracks that you can listen to over and over. You really don't want this album to end, and when it does, you will press play to hear it again.

This is one of the albums that you can't compare to any other thing. I do know for one thing that it's great to see a high quality asian rapper who really seems to have a chance of succeeding. even if you don't like the usual rap you hear on the radio, give this album a chance. it has a major funk/jazz feel with great scratching and sampling. a good buy all over.

One of the most talented and overlooked hitters in hip hop / funk today. Pete and crew drop well written raps over deeply crafted, funky grooves. Check out the Hammonds kickin' in the background. Pete can deliver with the best of them, and he knows how to dish out old school flavor AND push the music forward at the same time.

The album's great, and the live performances are amazing. Check him out before he gets HUGE!

Out of all the Brroklyn Bounce singles that have been released in the past so far, none i reckon can beat this single!! For fans of techno, house and trance music, this single says it all. I recommend it a very good buy for not only fans of Brooklyn Bounce, but also fans of full-on house and techno music.!!!

Bass Beats and "why melody? :( ".......2002-04-25

This's a great song but I don't like the part when the melody comes. I have to agree with Jason, the songs here in US are [bad]. Here in Tampa they don't like anything but breaks. I let some DJ's hear this song, they said it's not their type. Well if anyone wants some good hard pumping techno songs like this, just email me and I'll tell you the names of the good ones ;)

Awesome! True Euro hardcore dance.......2001-03-11

First let me say this is NOT NSync or Creed! Sometimes you hear a song and in order to absorb it you have to listen to it a few times. Well in the case of this track, that should NOT be the case. This is hardcore, funky, pumping, and infectious Euro sounding tune, that makes you feel "good"! It has already been a top 5 smash in Germany, Austria and is now catching on througout Europe. Unfortunately, our friendly US disc jockeys will probably reject this brilliant single from their playlists due to "Euro-ness" of the single, which is unfortunate because so many great, sophisticated singles which are #1 in Europe and Australia never get the time of day here, which shows how far behind we are with the music scene. Although I'm American, I hate most music from here, especially the sugary and predictable US dance/ top 40. I LOVE the REAL dance music that could only be bought via import or sites like Amazon.com. It always costs more, but is worth it ! Count on Bass Beats and Melody to maybe get played in your favorite late night underground club, or on a "really" cool and progessive US dance station.
