It was a nagging question - what was that song in the new Lay's potato chips commercial? I knew I had it in my CD collection and here it is - "Feed It" the opening track off The Candyskins last album. I still loves my Brit-pop and the Skins were amongst the finest purveyors of it. This track along with "Wembly" off a previous album is guaranted to lift your spirits and get your feet tappin'

This band is absolutely excellent. Great tunes, great voice, great everything! Buy this CD!! Especially since it's only a cent! Come on people!! BUY IT!

I don't know where they are now but when I bought this cd in 1998 I loved it and I still play it regularly. I always assumed they were more well-known than they turned out to be. Hopefully we will see something new from them one day.

Why is this album not better known? Buy it. It's worth paying the shipping and handling to spend as low as 45 cents. It rocks. It pops. It grows on you. This band is one of those that slips through the cracks somehow of mainstream and indie press and music history. Someday. Hopefully, sooner than later.
I like this one the best.

There are some good cuts on this album. Most people will have heard the track "Feed It" because it was in the movie, and on the soundtrack, for Adam Sandler's WATERBOY. Unfortunately, that soundtrack, nor this album, sold well, and it was the Candyskins last effort at success, after 15 years or so of trying, as related in an article in "P.O.V. Magazine." At the end of that article, after their latest efforts flopped, the group members were employed as dishwashers and waiters. Such is the fine line between success and failure. And mediocrities like Mariah Carey are zillionaires. Buy this album. It's good. And you won't be making the rich richer. You'll be sending royalties to some English guys earning minimum wage.
