Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Actually..........2006-09-14

...the title had nothing to do with Stimy (who's doing fine and living outside Denver), but was instead a nod to the fact that the band knew the record industry--and Cargo--had all but given up on them and that the album would receive little or no attention. Thank God we cleared that up.

5 out of 5 stars Jimmy Eat Tool.......2003-02-09

This is one of the best records to come out of San Diego, but of course it got overlooked at the time because of the fact that Blink 182 was hitting. Originally to be released May 12, 1998, Cargo Records pushed it back to January of 2000. By that time the band had broken up and moved on. Stimy, vocalist is now a member of Congress of the Cow who have a CD available on Amazon right now. The title of this album comes from the fact that Stimy almost died while the band was recording the album due to drug use. His bandmates thought that he'd be dead before the album even got released. Produced by Mark Trombino (Blink, Jimmy Eat World) this sound is a cross between the newer Jimmy Eat World and the dark, heaviness of bands like Tool.

5 out of 5 stars Wow, diverse record from a great emo-style band.......2001-05-02

This is an amazing record. These guys push the boundries of emo into places I've never heard before. What a bass player, too.
