If the producers of the movie Happy Feet had enough foresight, they would have dispatched a CD vendor with batches of this disc to every theater exit sign in America. Outside of Shrek and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, few kiddie flicks have fed a need to hear certain songs again as effectively. That's in part because of "Song of the Heart," a suitably frisky Prince number you won't find anywhere else. But it also has something to do with the efforts of some unlikely performers. Who knew Brittany Murphy could sing? "Boogie Wonderland," her cover of the '70s classic, crackles with big-voiced confidence, and "Somebody to Love," another classic cover, claws listeners in by the flipper-ful. Even Robin Williams's typically manic "My Way (a Mi Manera)" isn't without its charms. Nicole Kidman's "Kiss" mashed with Hugh Jackman's "Heartbreak Hotel" may be among the disc's weaker moments, but the grownups will like it that way--with their kind of star wattage, they're already stealing enough shows. And there's plenty to focus on besides them: standouts include Pink's untethered rendition of "Tell Me Something Good," k.d. lang's beautiful Beatles medley "Golden Slumbers/The End," and the Beach Boys' underappreciated gem, "Do It Again." --Tammy La Gorce
Album Description
Soundtrack to a comedy adventure--Happy Feet is set deep in Antarctica. Into the land of the Emperor Penguins where each needs a heart song to attract a sould mate, a penguin is born who cannot sing. Our hero Mumble, son of Memphis and Norma Jean, is the worst singer in the world...however, as it happens, he is a brilliant tap dancer!
Customer Reviews:
Pure Money Grab.......2007-07-08
This soundtrack, just like everything else about Happy Feet, is targeted toward the Pottery Barn generation -- which makes Happy Feet exactly like the vast majority of contemporary "kids movies" which are actually made to entertain today's parents more than today's children.
The superstar cast, the song selection, the musical performers, the dialogue...just what about this is for children? Is it the sassy remake of Prince's sex-you-up classic "Kiss"? The use of the word "flippin'" instead of the f-bomb? Robin Williams' reprise of his Good Morning Vietnam character? Somebody, feel free to share.
Is this soundtrack-disguised-as-a-movie for children, or an oldies CD that parents can get away with playing in the car? (Assuming, of course, the car doesn't have one of those handy DVD players in the backseat.)
To a nation obsessed with American Idol, this is considered "good stuff" -- once again, reminding us all that there is no accounting for taste. Especially in 2007.
Happy Music.......2007-06-09
Loved the movie and had to have the CD, not just the down load of the web. This way I can play it in the car and make myself happy while driving around. The music is catchy makes you want to sing along. All the while you can picture the penguins in the movie doing the dancing and singing. Great value CD, add it to your collection, you wount regret it. IainK
Great album!.......2007-06-08
This has some great toe tapping songs on it! Not much from the original motion picture score, but lots of fun songs!
incomplete - missing Candela.......2007-04-28
I've seen a few people asking what song was playing while Mumble was dancing with the adelies (the shorter penguins), and when I originally purchased the soundtrack I had hoped it would be there. Unfortunately, it wasn't - and after much searching the title of the track is 'candela' by Da Madd Dominikans (in case anyone else needs to find it). It's really too bad the soundtrack itself didn't have this gem on it, and the original "I Wish" by Stevie Wonder which actually played in the movie. I am sure this compilation works for many people, but for my purposes I would have gone in search of single tracks since the main tunes I wanted were not available here.
This is garbage!.......2007-04-09
Please, please, please! People want what they watch in the movie, sing and dance/tap. Not a cheap copy from great songs that take the soul out of the movie. Hopefully a producer will come with the "REMIX" and capitalise in this cash cow.

Although this band is largely responsible for defining the circa 1990 rave culture, their music is far removed from the bass-heavy electronica usually associated with dance clubs. Ten songs on this album are characterized by lazy tempos, groovy bass hooks, and artfully simple percussion tracks which interact perfectly to form smooth, danceable beats. The rhythmic foundation is further accented by tasteful guitar licks and restrained keyboard parts. Their lyrical content tends to be a little dark, even seedy for exstacy fueled dance parties. The flat, nearly spoken vocal arrangements mesh with the rest of the musical stew. --Michael A. Massa
Customer Reviews:
Bloody Wonderful.......2006-11-14
I'd heard great things about this band, and they were always lumped together with New Order as being one of the great groups to hang around The Hacienda club. They were also tied to the Stone Roses when it came to that whole Madchester fad. Naturally, I had great expectations for them. I bought the CD for a buck, ripped the it and tuned in. The first track, "Kinky Afro" didn't really do it for me. Was this band all hype? Guess what, they weren't! "God's Cop" came on and suddenly, we've got a nice effects-pedal driven guitar and some really nice dance beats going along with it. Who the heck cares about what the vocals are talking about. I don't even see the relationship between them and the title. All I know is that the music is great. And this friendly collission of nonsense keeps on going for the rest of album. The rest of the CD is, for the most part, nothing but grooves and gee-tars getting it in order to create some fantastic music.
Hightlights include: "God's Cop," "Grandbag's Funeral" and "Step On."
I'd suggest you invest in this album; it's fantastic dance music... or is it rock music... hey, that blurryness is part of the magic of late 80s/early 90s Madchester stuff!
Groovy Manchester eccentric funk with soulful backup.......2006-07-30
This album will always be near and dear to me. It came out during my identity-forming teens and it hooked me immediately. Sean Ryder is not a great singer but he's a great lyricist and with the awesome music and backup vocals, it *works*. I love the play on Donovan - "sun shines brightly from my arsehole, today" and "Bob's Yer Uncle" has to be the sexiest song I've ever heard. It reminds me of Pan in that painting with all the maidens. It's funny that expression has little to do with the song - makes me wonder if it's an inside joke. Just about everyone I've met likes this album. I would give definitely give it a try!
Thrift store corner of the world.......2006-07-10
I picked up this record secondhand for next to nothing in the basement of The United Methodist Church over there on Verbena Avenue. God's benison go with you Pastor Gainus Sikes, your gaff's a goldmine. There it was in any case in a plastic basin with, of all things, a Kenny Rogers cassette. Just the tape too, no cover. Those Salford scallywags almost leapt right into my hands out of sheer terror. That's half off today, said a perfectly dressed little old lady, we're having a sale. Half off in a thrift shop, I said. Sold, I said. I very nearly galloped back to my hut. I'd heard only good things about, but had never actually listened to, Pills & Thrills and while I was gearing up to be suitably impressed I don't believe I was in any way prepared for the frankly colossal dose of high-grade wang doodle delivered by this trippy little disk. I even managed somehow to listen to it out of order the first time, starting off with Holiday which is I think the second last song but what did I care, I was already on the trolley by the time I'd noticed. Ever since then I can't hear Holiday without experiencing an irresistible urge to drift off to sleep in a shrubbery for a week or two. And would you just look at Mister Intergalactic Laxative himself in there too! I haven't thought about old Cosmic Bananas since I can't exactly remember. You just don't lose with this album. I would complain that it's on the short side if it wasn't such a sure sharkey to play on repeat--I've had this sucker on for literally days at a stretch. But eventually I had to get up and go to work. Happy Mondays everybody.
Still twistin' our melons, 15 years on, man.......2005-10-16
Let me start off by saying that Happy Mondays' "Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches" is one of best dance records of the last 25 years. With that said, it is also one of the most defining of its period. The Madchester genre and is one of the most well documented, so I won't go into much on the subject, but out of all the excess and drug fueled controversy that came out of that era, this was the album that showed the best of the time. Those looking for more serious stuff from "The Stone Roses" or "The Charlatans", you are barking up the wrong tree. The guys of Happy Mondays' only know how to party, and they do it twenty four hours a day.
While Shaun and gang are hardly consistent on album, when the band are on, they are on. And when they are most on, is on this album. The record starts with the unbelievably catchy "Kinky Afro", which features jangly acoustic guitars, sleazy Ryder rhymes, and a bite of LaBelle's "Lady Marmalade".
The album is quite diverse and focused (which previous albums lacked), switching from the thumping beat funk of "God's Cop" to the smooth rhythm section of "Donovan", which has a fascinating second half burst of insanity. Ryder pens some of his funniest lines on the rambling "Grandbag's Funeral", and the drug anthem "Holiday".
Let it be said, you do not need to be on drugs to enjoy this album, but I can imagine it helps. In addition, you don't have to be British or familiar with the Madchester scene, as the grooves on this record transcend anything as simple as country boundaries.
The pinnacle of the album (and arguably, the scene), is "Step On", which is one of the finest singles of the decade. The sound produced here is the band's style at best, shuffling beats, thumbing bass, jagged guitars, and unforgettable melodies. The more slow tempoed stuff like "Bob's yer uncle" and "Harmony" still keep the flow going so you are still nodding your head when the beats have stopped.
Many will find this album to be out of date, or disjointed, but don't listen to them, they have no soul! This is a funky album with songs that you'll be jamming to for a long while. 15 years on, the grooves of Shaun Ryder, Bez, and the rest of the gang, remain as relevant as ever.
the bricks for britpop.......2005-09-23
i bought this c.d. thinking it was my own guilty pleasure knowing most of my friends didn't have patience for anything "dance" related.i own a tattoo shop and we constantly have music on in the background.well come to find out the most unlikely characters have a soft spot for this band.this album has just enough "outlaw" to keep the grit intact.if you love bands like the stone roses and such, the mondays are a part of understanding what shaped the manchester scene of the 90's.turns out my plesures arnt so guilty.just classic.

Customer Reviews:
This Is REALLY good!!.......2007-01-19
This was a really good CD. Almost all of the songs were up beat and great songs to listen to. I listen to a lot of trance and if you like a mix of hard and soft songs (which I do) with some lyrics it was great. You won't be disappointed. Listen to the whole cd twice and you LOVE every song. Enjoy
(I had to write this because the other reviews didn't do it justice)
Pretty Good Trance mix.......2006-10-03
Ok, I am not 13, i am 19, but Amazon wouldnt let me make a review without buying something 1st. Anyways...This cd is pretty good coming from I listen to mainly Happy Hardcore music, and not Trance. Some people aren't use to a mixed cd, ALL THE SONGS ARE THE SAME SPEED! The 1st 4 songs get the cd going with the best track being "I Think I Love You". Track 7 is a remix of that old country hit "When You Say Nothing At All", and its a pretty good remix too! I HATE Lasgo! I HATE her voice. I HATE her songs, but I do love the Happy Hardcore remix of her song "All Night Long". "Tracking Treasure Down" is the next to best track on this cd (to me). Then the cd loses its power untill the track "Alive", we get the good Love Parade/German Trance mix! "Piece of Heaven" is a good track, its actually happier than the Happy Hardocre mix!. "Bad Boy" is another good song, but, could have used the chorus more in the song. "I Go Crazy" is a nice bouncey mix. The female vocal actually goes good with the melody. Overall, the mixing is so-so. The best mixing is between tracks 3 & 4, other than that, the songs are pretty much "start-stop" mixed.
A good disc.......2006-09-09
This album would have gotten 5 stars if not for a few songs.
1. "Fire" - I hate it. It is incredibly, incredibly repetitive, and not in a good way. It grated on my nerves after 30 seconds. The thought of sitting through another 4 minutes of the song was enough to make me want to turn off the radio. But I was patient and I skipped to the next track. I'm sure some people love the song (they must, for it to be on this and Dance Factory IV), but I think it's awful.
2. "Cut" sounds a little like a remixed pop song, something Kelly Clarkson would sing. It's good, but a little slow.
3. "I Think I Love You" is very upbeat, almost hyperactive, but entertaining.
4. "All About Me" is a classic breakup/move on song, pretty good.
5. "Kiss the Sky" - Most people probably know "Kiss the Sky" - the mix on here is slightly different from the radio edit, and it makes it better. Great song.
6. "All My Love" really gets your pulse going with its beat - it's an unrelenting song, and I love it.
7. "When You Say Nothing At All" brings the pace down a little, as it is sort of a ballad with a beat. It's mediocre. Not bad, but not great. The kind of song you might skip sometimes.
8. "Lying" - Not so good. This surprised me, since I usually like Lasgo. This song is almost pure 80's - not a musical style I'm fond of. If you like that cheesy sound, you'll probably love it.
9. "Tracking Treasure Down" - I think the title is awkward, but it's a decent, if slightly mellow, song. I think it's the type of song that grows on you after a few listens.
10. "Raindrops" is a fantastic song, short and sweet and packed with greatness. I just wish it was longer.
11. "Push It" - I don't understand this trend of making dance versions of old 80s songs. It worked out well for Louie Devito, with Take on Me and Rhythm is a Dancer (a few years ago), but Push It wasn't a good song to begin with and no amount of remixing can make it good. But it is tolerable for about 90 seconds. Then your finger will start itching to change it.
12. "Alive" - this song is subtitled "German Club edit" and it absolutely made me have visions of dancing in a packed European club. Love it.
13. "Piece of Heaven" starts out one way and then completely changes, but the effect is good and it's an upbeat head-nodder.
14. "Bad Boy" by Cascada...another fist-pumper. I really like it, even though I tried not to. Equal parts serious and playful, a very charismatic and likeable song, even if it does support a pet peeve of mine (girls who only like bad boys).
15. "Satellites" - a funky and fresh song, the kind you like more and more each time you listen to it. Good stuff.
16. "I Go Crazy" - It is a good song, but I wonder if the original is better, or if there is a better remix out there. This mix is a little directionless. A pleasant listen nonetheless.
Overall, this is a pretty solid compilation. There are always a few songs that different people with different tastes won't like, so I never expect one of these to be perfect. It's a good investment; 90% of the cd keeps your foot tapping to the beat, and that is sometimes hard to find.

Pretty good stuff.......2006-11-11
I have been waiting for this cd. Dance Party 2006 was highly enjoyable to me. My favorite song would have to be Bob Sinclare's Rock This Party, he uses nice beats mixed with 90's dance vocals. I also really enjoy the remixes of Bananarama's Look on the Floor. It has a nice trance like feel to it as well as the remix of Kiras Against all odds, I liked the original a lot to. One song that I didn't like was Love don't let me go. It just didn't grab my attention like the others did.
Overall a very good cd! If you like previous DP cds you should have no problem with this one!

my word.......2007-03-05
This is the worst crap I've ever heard. And it's called Techno Party. How ironic is that? There's nothing techno about this. It's all a bunch of progressive house and EXTREMELY cheesey anthem trance. If I could give it a lower rating, I would. I can't honestly believe anybody enjoys this music.
Haters!!.......2005-01-10
this album is what it says A Techno party the songs
like Godd,Superdupafly, and Operation blade are definately
techno i dont know why anyone would buy the cd just to listen to
derb and addited to bass which i think are the least techno and probably more trance songs on this album i do respect trance its awsome but spoken as a true techno fan you should love the sounds of this cd ! Phat bass , trippin beats , this cd is perfect for a rave
Not as good as I thought it would be.......2005-01-03
1/2/05- This is the first CD I've gotten mixed by the Happy Boys, and it is probably the last. The reason why I wanted to check out this CD was because I had heard the songs Derb and Addicted to Bass on other CDs, both of which I like and figured that this could be okay also. The majority of these songs did not interest me at all. Songs on here like "Supadupafly," "Operation Blade," and "On the Move" are just not really what I'm used to hearing. But, this is the first CD I've ever gotten with the title "Techno" on it. Normally my CDs are entitled House or Trance or Club but never techno. Oh, yes, and the mixing is not very good.
6/3/05- In response to the review after mine... I did not get the CD just to listen to Addicted to Bass and Derb, I got it because I thought it would have other goods songs as well. Please read reviews CAREFULLY before you just make a response to them.
disappointment.......2004-09-04
I buy a lot of the Happy Boys cd's and expected this one to be equally as good. It was disappointing to say the least. Derb is probably the only song I cared for.

great mix of 2004 songs.......2005-11-10
"I Wanna Know What Love Is" makes this cd worth getting alone. The song is an incredible song, and the mix is sick. I can't stop listening to this song. I also like "Surrender", though to end the cd with a song with such strong beats wasn't the best idea in my opinion. The other songs you should know from the radio. I won't go into detail on every one of them, but they are all worth a listen on here. I enjoyed the mixing and definitely feel this is the best cd to listen to the hits of 2004 vocal dance.
I like this album a whole lot! .......2005-09-13
Last Christmas, I received this album as one of my gifts. Here are my ratings for all of the songs on this CD:
1) Lola's Theme- Very catchy, disco-like tune. Grade: A+
2) Move Ya Body- Great remix. Grade: A
3) Get Up Stand Up- Pretty cool. Grade: A-
4) How Did You Know- I love this one! Grade: A+
5) You Never Know- Not that awesome, but decent. Grade: C+
6) I Like It- Very upbeat and awesome! Grade: A
7) Pump It Up- This one is good, but a little annoying. Grade: B
8) White Flag- The original version was better. Grade: C+
9) Everytime- I like the original version better. Grade: C+
10) Easy As Life- This one is good. Grade: B+
11) If I Close My Eyes- One of my favorites! Grade: A+
12) Deja Vu- It's okay, but not that great. Grade: B
13) Cherish the Day- A little sappy, but okay. Grade: B-
14) I Want to Know What Love Is- Awesome remix! Grade: A+
15) Rise Again- Good song! Grade: B+
16) Surrender- This one is okay. Grade: B
I play this CD often and it's one of my favorite albums. I'm a huge fan of dance and techno music and that's why I asked for this CD.
We've seen better, but there are quite a few awesome hits!.......2005-01-18
"Dance Party 2004" and "Trance Party 2" were much better than this CD, but that doesn't mean that "Dance Party 2005" isn't good. There are quite a few awesome hits on this CD and one unbeatable, exclusive DJ Sammy hit. OK fine, I'll review every song.
1. Shapeshifters "Lola's Theme" (3:21) B+
Good dance hit with an awesome vocalist. The artist, Shapeshifters, is also called Shape:UK on other dance albums, but its the same popular song.
2. Nina Sky feat. Jabba "Move Ya Body" (Norty Cotto Remix) (3:07) B+
Much better than the original version; much less annoying. The house beat beats (ha ha) the original beat. Look for "Oye Mi Canto", Nina Sky's much better single. Nina Sky are actually two sisters; don't get confused. Good song.
3. Stellar Project feat. Brandi Emma "Get Up, Stand Up" (Phunk Investigation Radio Edit) (3:20) A+
Awesome song! The beat is great, the vocalist is awesome, and the song is overall wonderful. One of the best on the album.
4. Mynt feat. Kim Sozzi "How Did You Know?" (4:09) B
The vocals are good, but the song gets repetitive. The chorus is awesome but a trance remix would really spice up this boring song.
5. Marly "You Never Know" (3:35) B
No, not Bob Marley, nowhere close. The vocalist somewhat reminds me of the vocalist on Eyeopener's "Hungry Eyes" (Now 59). This song is OK. Good beat but kind of boring. Vocals aren't great.
6. Narcotic Thrust "I Like It" (6:15) A-
No need for the extended mix, but this song is pretty good. Much better than their first single. Strange lyrics, but extremely catchy. Good vocalist, good song.
7. Danzel "Pump It Up" (3:51) B+
Kind of annoying, but catchy. I think Danzel won the UK's "Pop Idol", the original "American Idol" only in the UK (duh). Good song. I think this a remix but I'm not sure. A different beat than the original.
8. Dido "White Flag" (Scumfrog Remix) (3:30) C-
Horrible remix of a great song. One, the vocals go too slowly. They just drone on and on. Second, the beat is good, but the other sounds are kind of disturbing and unneeded. This remix is not good at all. Some of the lyrics are even cut off! Nope, never listening to this one again.
9. Britney Spears "Everytime" (Valentin Remix) (3:55) B+
If it weren't for the annoying sounds, this song would easily get an A. Great remix compared to Track 8. Awesome beat and tempo for the lyrics. Better than the Valentin Remix of O-Zone's "Dragostea Din Tea", the most catchy Romanian dance song ever. How random.
10. Deborah Cox "Easy As Life - Theme From Aida - " (3:57) B+
Deborah Cox did a great job in her play outing "Aida" - this dance remix of the theme of the play is OK but nothing too special. Good beat and vocals though.
11. Reina "If I Close My Eyes" (4:00) A
Wonderful song and easily Reina's best. Her 1997 hit "Find Another Woman" was good but then her 2004 single wasn't great. This song opens the new year on a great note. Awesome song - great lyrics and decent beat. Great job, Reina!
12. The Roc Project feat. Tina Novak "Deja Vu (It's Hard To Believe)" (Johnny Budz Breaks Mix) (4:26) B
Good song, but isn't as good as "Never", their first single. Also, the Johnny Budz Breaks Mix of "Never" was better too. Even though the beat remains cool, this song just isn't as deep.
13. Plummet "Cherish The Day" (Antillas Mix) (4:23) B+
Again, their first single, "Damaged", was a lot better. "Cherish The Day" is still a good song though. Great beat and alien-type effects/sounds. The vocalist remains really good. Nice song.
14. Wynonna "I Want To Know What Love Is" (Piper Remix) (5:07) A
Awesome song. Wynonna is an amazing singer and this is a really good song. The remix is awesome because of the really catchy and memorable beat. Deep lyrics and music. I really want to hear her next song.
15. DJ Sammy feat. Loona "Rise Again" (4:04) A+
Best song on the album. This exclusive track is a rare gem in trance music. Great subtle beat, lifting lyrics, and awesome singer. Loona also starred on DJ Sammy's "Boys Of Summer", his 2nd best hit. I can't wait to get the single of this song! I wish there was a second verse, but who cares? This song is awesome and another awesome way to start the year!
16. Lasgo "Surrender" (3:04) B+
Lasgo's vocalist, Evi Goffin, has a wonderful voice. The beat to this song isn't too awesome, though. I'm just glad "Alone" stopped replaying on the radio every five minutes. Decent song, but every Lasgo track is starting to sound frighteningly similar.
Overall, the CD gets a B+. Good songs with the exception of one or two not so great songs. There are classics here such as "Get Up Stand Up", "I Want To Know What Love Is", and "Rise Again", so I suggest this album. Also, "Rise Again" is an exclusive track not available on single for a while. Go to www.loona.com to hear it also...GET THIS ALBUM!
Dance Party: Like It's 2005.......2004-12-25
I first came into contact with Robbins Ent., the folks behind Dance Party: Like It's 2005 with their previous release Trance Party Vol. 4. After TP 4, I was instantly hooked. The songs Robbins & The Happy Boys put out are awesome. DP 2k5 is no exception. There are many chart topping hits like Britney's Everytime, Cox's Easy As Life, and more. If you like popular music with a dance back beat, DP 2k5 is a great choice. Be sure to check out robbinsent.com because these guys put out a lot great music! Oh yea, I highly recommend Trance Party Vol. 4 too!

Top Quality.......2007-05-15
This set is amazing! All three discs have awesome tracks. Honestly, I can't pick my favorite disc. The Brisk & Ham and Dougal & Gammer discs are both positively awesome! Sy & Unknown is still good too. Lots of great vocals and lots of hard beats! Bottom line, you won't be disappointed!
Hardcore Euphoria!.......2007-04-11
95% of this entire box set is upfront Happy Hardcore, with the exception of the more freeformish tracks on Dougal's & Gammer's cd, and the Gabber at the end of Brisk's & Ham's mix. This is a must for any UK Hardcore lovers collection.
Amazing!.......2007-02-02
This CD set is absolutely amazing! By far one of the best box sets i have ever heard.

Customer Reviews:
Full Of Great Songs!.......2005-08-04
If you like club music, Trance Party 3 is your one stop shop. You can get it all right here with this album. Or at least a healthy chunk. I also heartily recommend Trance Party 2, which is equally good. Enhance your music collection and party potential. Pick up this album.
If at first you succeed..........2004-08-03
Keep on doing it!
When I first picked up this disc, I hadn't heard of the Trance Party series. In fact, I was still a fringe dance/trance listener and I didn't know what was good and what wasn't.
So when I picked up this disc, I found maybe two appreciable songs, and put it away. Then I wanted to listen to those songs, and found a couple more songs. Then a couple more. Then a couple more. Now I listen to the entire disc with a sense of calmness and relief.
Many people will object with the use of Trance in the title of this disc/series, but what they aren't understanding is the very distinct difference between American Trance and European Trance. American Trance is Trance Nation America (look that up). It is long, there isn't much difference from track to track, and while it is very ambient it isn't very exciting. European Trance, on the other hand, is both very exciting and does what the name implies, puts you in a trance. The combination of beautiful vocals, searing synths, and grounding beats allows your mind to wander while your body remains bopping to the drums.
1. Boys of Summer - A little pokey as a first song but if you can get past the initial build-up, works it's way into an amazing track. Not the best but a great start.
2. Diving - At first I wasn't fond of this song, but 4 Strings' vocals have captured me and this song is now a favorite.
3. Come...(Into My Dream) - Probably one of the weakest songs on the disc. It isn't very special but carries along nicely and is easy to sing to.
4. The Way (Put Your Hand In My Hand) - Second in my top 3 on this disc. The vocals are amazing, the music is beautiful...can't go wrong here.
5. Gates of Mind - Very fresh sounding, but perhaps a bit too long. I like the track, I just wish it were shorter.
6. If I Were You - I used to think this song was ridiculous. The lyrics are quite childish at first but given a few listens, this track will have you jamming and contemplating. Great song.
7. Alone - Haven't we all heard this song? It isn't as annoying to hear because the blending from Candee Jay is well done.
8. La Marche De La Lune - Rock on for tracks that you won't hear elsewhere! I haven't found this track on any other compilation, and it is truly a shining gem. Third out of my top 3.
9. Be With You - A strikingly hard song and perhaps the edgiest on the disc, but alltogether a great tune. Good vocals.
10. Keep It Up - This is the closest to American Trance you will find on the disc. This is the first song to attract my attention is probably the second weakest song. Still, it is fun to bop around to.
11. The One - Beautiful track. Dee Dee's vocals are great and the song keeps me happy while it's on.
12. U R (My Love) - This is by far the best song on the disc. I read a review in which Desenchantee was said to be a better pick, but I disagree. This song has a lot of emotion, and the perfect musical switch half-way through. I disliked it the most and now it is one of my favorite songs (not just on this disc).
13. Beautiful Things - A very odd tune. Gorgeous and trancy in it's own right. I hope this spawns a new side of trance because the guitar driven beatsy sound of this is truly mindblowing.
14. Dreaming - Rather blah song. You will learn the lyrics, and sing, but I doubt it will be anything worth skipping to.
15. Wherever You Are (I Feel Love) - Another trance epitomizer. The vocals provided by Laava make my senses soar...I wish it was a bit longer.
16. Secret Love - A decent song to end the disc by, but the fact that I can't remember how it goes right now is probably a signal as to how good it actually is.
Hope this helps.
One of the best, if not the best Trance CD's I've ever heard.......2004-06-22
I heard my friend playing 4 String's "diving" in her car from this cd and I knew just from that song that I had to go get it. this is the essential dance cd to get a party started and just listening to it makes me feel good and thats what i expect out of a good trance cd. heres some reviews of my favorite songs..
4 strings "diving": the second song on the cd and one of the best in my opinion. awesome vocals, awesome beats. if you liked "take me away" by 4 strings, you'll like this song even better.
foggy "come into my dreams": one of the most SLAMMIN songs on the cd. really gets me pumped. the bassline and the beat is absolutely insane and the vocals are greattttt. a really good house vocal
Divine Inspiration "the way (put your hand in my hand)": one of the best songs on the cd. the piano solo in the song is absolutely perfect for the song and the vocals are great. a really feel-good house vocal.
Lasgo "alone": another good house-y song. i love everything lasgo does but the radio really played this song out BAD so i just skip it. if you like lasgo but are looking for a new song from them to bump, try "dont belong to you". in my opinion its the best song on the cd and should of been released even before "something". trust me.
tara lowe "be with you": second best on the cd. the beats are so hard and the vocals are so hot, this song does not disappoint.
dee dee "the one": another one of the best. its got a hard bassline and slammin vocals. this song definitely has the potential to be one of the biggest house anthems of all time, up there with "castles in the sky", "something", and "feels so good" and others along those lines.
kate ryan "u r my love": my personal favorite on the whole cd. as you're listening to the vocals in the beginning of it, you can tell that theyre building up to a HARD beat and the track does not disappoint. my recommendation if you've never heard it before.. put it in the cd player and play it as loud as it goes and watch the room shake.
laava "wherever you are": another great song. good vocals, good beat. awesome track.
ummmm I LOVE this cd.......2004-02-11
one word...AWESOME I have been playing this puppy out like there's no tomorrow. and it's great cuz this cd only has like 2 "fillers" so I can really chill or drive or whatever with this cd. my fav songs on this are:::
:4 strings diving
:foggy
:well i'll finish faster if I name the only 2 I DON'T like which are that gates of mind song and the boys of summer is cool but it is played out. Hope this was some help! ;0)
I'm American and EVEN I SAY it isn't everything I expected.........2003-12-19
I'm a big fan of real trance like 'Hard Trance From Europe' by DJ Session One or artists like that. I like some of the songs (more specifically Outfly, Tara Lowe, J&R Project, Dee Dee, Kate Ryan, Hannah-Rose, LAAVA) which is the reason I put up with the other ones. For a "trance" CD, these song's are short and are okay if you're a radio-cut song addict. Not the best, but some songs are okay. Two stars. You earned every single one.

.....uuuugh............2006-06-15
Despite the presence of some mighty fine dance singles from the past year ( I'm still grooving to "All This Time" in particular )this has got to be one of the absolute worst mixing jobs I have ever heard. Technically and artistically this mix is a total hatchet job, with nary a smooth trasition to be found or any real sense of flow.
"FAITHFULLY".......2005-11-23
I BOUGHT THIS ALBUM JUST FOR THE SONG "FAITHFULLY". I WAS SCARED OF THIS BEING A COVER SONG BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL HAS A NAME TO LIVE UP TO. AFTER I HEARD THE SONG ON MY SIRIUS RADIO I WAS BLOWN AWAY. JUDY TORRES IS NO STRANGER TO THE MUSIC BUSSINESS, SHE GIVE'S A POWERFULL VOICE TO THIS CLASSIC AND DOES NOT LET YOU DOWN.
