    From an era when even the semi-sucessful bar bands are talented gods once compared to today's songwriting comes offbeat side action like Alcohol Funnycar. Inbetween a short period when major bands were working on their large label, sophmore releases (i.e. Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, et. tal) bands like these guys paved a way for further merging the sounds of the 80's with the onslaught of 90's grunge methods. Best seen through the single "Shapes" they showcased a dramatic, pioneering arrow towards emo-rock grunge that would later be thoroughly enjoyed by the likes of bands like Bush. Another example of amazing songwriting that needed a follow-up alblum on a major label. Otherwise, just a poster-child for the shining point in music when just about every band had something to say and said it well.
