I Expected More But This Will Do .......2006-04-09
I really don't even like techno or club mixes that much but I have to say that this is a pretty good CD that may get you into this type of music. The sound quality is a few steps above what I expected, you can hear it very clear. It has nice bass and it has a lot of music you could play to keep hyperactive company entertained. I also was expecting a few other tracks that I heard in the Lain series but this will do but you are better off getting the import.
Been better if complete.......2004-02-25
This soundtrack contains the fast paced techno beat that is heard on occasion within the Lain Anime. Overall it is good and lots of fun to listen too. The music isn't to harsh even though it retains a very good techno edge to it.
The biggest problem with this soundtrack is that it is missing two tracks that are found on the Import version, and those two tracks are the whole reason I wanted the CD to begin with, the rest of the music is really just nice to have but not great. For this reason I docked it a star.
FYI - The two tracks that are missing are Duvet Ciberia Mix and Duvet TV Sized - the latter track is the music that is used in the shows intro.
For Parties Only.......2004-02-21
Having never seen an episode of Lain I never knew what to expect from this CD. I got it for free so I'm not so disappointed that the music is nothing but unengaging background sound for parties where conversation is more important than dancing. There are some slightly above average tracks but the majority is just fair fluff.
For hardcore fans of Lain only (whatever it may be).

Cubanates greatest CD ever!.......2000-09-23
Cyberia is the best damn industrial metal CD you could ever find anywhere. Oxyacetylene, Industry, and Skeletal are the songs that stand out the most here they are all fast un-relentless powerful industry tracks and will all give you a amazing adrenaline rush! Once again Marc Heals voice provides the songs with the power they deserve. Cubanate are not a very well known band but are one of the best ever! Anyone who has a taste for hellacious powerful industry music should get this, and they should also cheak out Antimatter and Barbarossa which both rock too! Interfearence is dissapointing but if you are a fan it is still worth getting.
Cubanate's best.......2000-02-28
"Oxyacetaline" and "Skeletal" are really the only two tracks that I listen to on this album, but they RULE. Those 2 tracks alone make this album worth buying. Great album for highway!
A relentless barrage of amphetimine fuelled insanity©.......1999-09-24
I think this guy from Russia must be into Hanson or Britney Spears.
I simply cannot recommend this album enough. It makes your mouth froth, your ears bleed, and anyone else in the house complain. Try out the samples (not the first one) above starting with Oxyacetylene. See what I mean!!
This cutting edge industrial techno release is not as drum & bass as Interference, and not as techno as Antimatter. Barbarossa fits in nicely with this album, however Cyberia is by far the best album they have relaesed. If you are going to buy only one Cubanate album, get this one, you blasphemer!!
Don't expect deep or meaningful lyrics by the way - don't say I didn't warn you on that front. Just expect a ferocious aural assault that will have you addicted from the first playing.
If you are even reading these reviews because you like industrial dance, then I 100% guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
Happy listening!!
Harsh, uncompromising, brilliant.......1998-11-21
Cyberia is an excellent, hard-driving, techno-metal groove machine from the consistently underrated Cubanate. "Oxyacetylene" is the standout track. Note: unlike their album Interference, this one and Antimatter are actually listenable.
The Cubanate experience is the one to have!.......1998-08-24
This is one of the coolest industrial/techno albums to come down the pike in a long while. The sounds are simple awe inspiring! The main feature here is 'Skeletal', where lyrics take the backseat to a totally hypnotic bassline. 'Hatesong', 'Oxyacetaline' and all the others save tracks 1 & 8 which are just electronic beeps and background noise, are just a joy to hear over and over again. A totally worthwhile purchase to any fan of this genre!

Album Details
DJ Mix CD featuring a Stunning Version of 'duvet' by Boa.
Customer Reviews:
Great songs, but steep price for just two tracks. .......2006-06-23
For those of you who have seen Serial Experiment: Lain, this CD contains the song from the opening credits to the series (Duvet). It's a fabulous song done by Engish music group Boa (not to be confused with Korean J-Pop artist BoA). Probably one of the best sounding contemporary rock songs I can think of. There is another song on this CD called Deeply, also from Boa. This song has more of a hard edge to it with Jasmine (the lead singer) putting a little more passion into her voice. Of the two songs Duvet is still my favorite, but Deeply is definitely a well done song.
Now for the bad news. For a full-priced CD all you get are two songs. No remixes. No video files. Just two songs. For most other bands that would be enough to say forget about it. However these songs were included on only two albums: Twilight (released domestically) and Race of a Thousand Camels (released in Japan). These albums are no longer distributed and are very hard to find, which makes Duvet also hard to find.
So in the end you have to ask yourself how bad do you want that one song from Lain, plus another good song from the band? Personally I wouldn't pay the full list price for just the two songs. Then again I'm one of the lucky ones that has a copy of Twilight. Personally I would pass this one up and look for another Lain soundtrack that has this song in it. The Lain Cyberia Mix import version has the TV cut of the song as well as a remix and several other dancey tracks (be forewarned, the domestic release doesn't have Duvet).
IT'S A SINGLE !!!!.......2005-11-30
Please read the item description closely, and you will see this is a CD SINGLE! It's a mini-disk containing only two songs. "Duvet" is beautiful of course, and the other song ("Deeply", I think) is pretty catchy too. However, spending $15 for two songs is beyond what most people can justify.
Very Good........2005-01-27
I actually like this quite a bit better than the original sound track for the series.
While I may be biased (being a fanatic fan of the series) this is one of my favorite CD's out of all that I own.
Of course, it's not reccomended if you don't like techno. Some of the songs are not for the faint of heart (I am thinking particularly of SPEED and Professed Intention and Real Intention) but other than that it's just what you'd expect from a Lain ST - undeniably trippy, but in a very good way. I might even go so far as to say that this CD does a better job of capturing the essence of the series than does the original sound track. This is something that, as the cover suggests, you might find Lain herself mixing up, were she so inclined.
The Import version is definitely reccomended over the non, because the Duvet remix is divine. While both the full length Duvet AND the remix are available for free, it is just more convenient to have them on the CD.
I must say though that you can get the import version for alot cheaper than $41.99, if you look.
Song of an Angel.......2004-11-10
This is the best song in the entire show. When I first heard it I almost couldn't stop playing it over and over until someone dragged me away. The song is simply enrapturing and gives you a great feeling inside. The beats used are amazing especially when it hits around the middle; I'm sure fans of the show know what I'm talking about. Definitely a track worth owning, but I'm willing to admit that it's still a bit pricey.
For the ANIME lovers.......2003-09-03
If you loved the opening song to the Lain series, get this single. It has that song, what more do you need?
