This bag I bought is great. It fits my 15.4" Laptop perfectly. And the laptop cover is well padded. There's enough space to put books and folders. The bag has so many pockets for every thing that I need.

its pretty sleek for a 17'' laptop case. it feels and looks like a notebook sleeve but comes with a shoulder strap so thats nice. i have HP Pavilion 9500t notebook and it fits nicely in it. not a snug fit but i like it that way. the only cons is that it is not meant to carry adapter. though you can definitely put it in but it kinda protrudes out of the bag's shape. the bottomline is that its a very light and sleek looking case that will work with all 17'' laptops. purchase it if you ain't planning to carry a lot of stuff (books, files, folders etc.) along with you.

Just received this on Friday - 5-26-07, I'm going to have to agree and say case/bag is of very high quality. There is padding around the entire bag. Total, there is about one half inch of padding on each side of where the notebook is stored.

I have a Dell 15.4 inch laptop and it protects 95% of it perfectly. Only about 1/2 inch of the laptop sticks out of the protective area, still in the bag where I don't worry about it.

The shoulder straps are made to LAST. They are thick. You could use this bag to go hiking with.

There are 4 separate zippered compartments total. One is designed to hold papers and folders but is not large enough for a binder. One holds the notebook. The other two pockets can hold cables, a mouse, and other miscellaneous objects. I always carry my notebook, trackball, imic, headphones, an Ethernet cable, iPod shuffle, notebook power adapter, I still have space for LOTS more.

The price that Amazon has is a steal.

This really is perfect for what I need. My Alienware 17in widescreen fits perfectly into this slip case. The quality is great and it holds what I need it to.
If you need something to carry around more than just the laptop, though, you will want a bigger case. Just be sure you know what you are ordering.
