Great Joystick.......2007-06-10

This stick works fantastic for Mech simulation games and flight games. It has just he right amount of buttons to not be too much, but enough to always be able to configure what you need. The mini stick on top is perhaps slightly too sensitive by default but can be changed. The throttle on the bottom is a very nice addition. The only thing that is a steep learning curve is the twist feature, it is sometimes hard to differentiate what is a twist and what is a turn,, but you get over it with learning the dexterity.

My son could not play his airplane computer game without it. So, we looked and looked.....this was best rated for the price, and it's done a great job. Ordering was easy, delivery was timely.

This joystick is the best. It has many features packed in a neat package. There are pros and cons though:

Pros:
Fast reaction
Calibrates automatically

Cons:
Bulky
Isn't really good with Laptops
Best for Right handers only

In my opinion the pros outweigh the cons though. If you want to a get a substitute than the Saitek X52 this is the joystick to buy!

This joystick worked well for about 2 months, then it became a nightmare.
It loses calibration and there is no utility to fix it. I tried several things and the only thing that seems to work is if you unplug it and plug it back into the USB port several times, then you might get it to work properly.
Even then it can lose calibration in the middle of a game.
Not recommended at all.

Do a google search for Extreme 3D Pro problems and you will find forums that discuss this same issue.

No Vista Drivers.......2007-05-28

There are no Vista compatible drivers for this device as of May 2007. Even LGS version 5.0 has problems.
