Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Hurray! Batteries No Longer an Issue!.......2007-06-10

I purchased two sets of the NYKO chargers due to the cost of batteries / and constant replacement of batteries. This items works like advertised. Also because you essentially replace the battery compartment with the rechargeable one, and adds a new battery cover - which allow the connection in the back of the new cover to make contact with the "docking station" to charge the controller. Due to this setup - if you currently use those colorful wii covers - they will need to be removed. I sold mine right away due to the great function these chargers provide.
We have played for at least 3 hours straight without any need to charge the units again - so they also do a great job of keeping their charge.

I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend to anyone with similar battery issues.
We no longer think about battery life when we decide to play the wii - which was an issue before, now I just need to work on my serve to beat my kids in tennis!
That sharp angle return cant be legal!!! :0)

4 out of 5 stars possible fix for bettery problem.......2007-06-10

like many others, I had a problem with one controller working fine but the other wouldn't. The problem is that the battery isn't making contact with the wiimote. I fixed the problem on mine by folding a tiny piece of paper and wedging it on the top. hope this helps anybody

2 out of 5 stars Great...sort of..........2007-06-10

Of my 2 wiimotes, one works great with this system but the other wiimote will not turn on at all with the rechargable battery. Both wiimotes look exactly the same, and both work fine with regular batteries. This product simply does not work with all wiimotes, and they completely failed to warn me about this before I purchased.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect finishing touch.......2007-06-08

As many other reviewers, I quickly learned after getting my Wii that the Wiimotes are understandably battery hogs. I'm a little surprised Nintendo didn't build something like this into the system. Regardless, this charger really does the job, and you almost expect to see a Nintendo logo on it because of the great job Nyko has done with quality and style that matches the Wii itself.

I don't use skins on my Wiimotes (just looks like a hindrance to me), so that hasn't been an issue, although I imagine it would be for any charger/cradle, not just this one. The rubberized battery doors required to use this kit really do improve the overall feel of the Wiimote.

I don't know if battery life matches regular alkalines, but that's because I just put the controllers back in the cradle when I'm not using them, and they always stay charged! I haven't had the indicator on the screen get below the full 4 bars while I've been playing so far.

Also, I prefer the wall plug setup used by this as opposed to some other models that plug into the USB port on the Wii. Those models can only charge one controller and take longer because of the power limits of USB. The wall plug also allows you to keep your charger somewhere else in the room if you like.

4 out of 5 stars Just what the Wii-mote was missing.......2007-06-05

The batteries fit nice and snugly, and the new back cover is comfortable. The remotes sometimes don't get a great connection, but a simple adjustment will take care of that. Overall, great value with 2 batteries and a nice cradle to make sure your remote's are always ready to go.
