very pricey for an option that should come with every ipod. but aside from that, nice product. I like that at least it came with its own USB-iPOD cable (which means I now have 2.. one that came with the iPOD and one that came with the power adapter)

Just bought this for my daughter's new Ipod. Works great. Don't have to worry about being near a USB port; just plug it in. Easier for us to remember to charge the Ipod. More flexibility than having a cable hanging off the laptop all of the time.

So simple - comes with the cable. Charges the iPod and more, allows you to use it for long, uninterrupted sessions. For example, recording live gigs using the Belkin TuneTalk which plugs into the bottom of my 80GB iPod. The Belkin has a passthrough mini usb on the bottom. Just get it.

A must if you do any traveling. The battery doesn't charge long enough for trips. Also lets you charge much faster than through your computer.

Since Apple doesn't give you the AC adapter for the iPod, this is great to have if you won't be around your computer. It's compact and works great.
