Best bang for the buck, cheap & small footprint. Appreciate large red time projected on ceiling-- works great in dark room! Useless in daylight. Would be great for travel. I bought 2, for the projection feature alone. Love to be able to readily see time at night in bed above me. Atomic time is a bonus.

Decent but could be better.......2007-05-29

I use this clock as a secondary alarm clock. The clock is pretty much useless during the day with any sunlight in the room. You have to click the large button on top for the backlight to come on when you want to see the time and temperature display.

This clock does not add any extra light at night, I believe it uses laser pointer technology.

For the purpose of just displaying the time and am/pm on the ceiling this clock is perfect. For everything else it is not.

The clock is hard to see during the day. At night it is very easy because of the projection display but that becomes impossible to read during the day the size of the LCD display is not large enough to see from a distance. It works very well as an alarm clock however, especially if you wake up early in the morning while it is still dark.

It works accurately, easily, and has the nice feature of the ceiling projecton. It also is more rugged and will easily survive a fall to the floor. Design is a matter of subjectivity and it is, perhaps, a bit bulkier than need be but otherwise is a nice alarm clock.

Okay for kid's room.......2007-05-19

This works just as it said it would. I bought this for my 10 year old son. He likes the display on the ceiling. I think the clock itself has a pretty cheap feel to it, but it's okay for a kids room. My only real complaint on this thing is it has the most ANNOYING sounding alarm. It starts off soft and progressively gets louder and louder. It makes you want to throw the thing at the wall. By the way, my son's room is not close to mine and I can hear this thing all the way down the hall. If you don't like annoying sounding alarms....Don't buy this thing!
