this web cam works on my Mac Powerbook 500 G3. it is convenient with the adjustable goose neeck and can show in any direction. The image is good for this G3. If I used it on a more powerful computer it might get 5 stars. This G3 does not have much video ram. It works with everything and is so darn convenient. The Monitor program with it is cool too. I called the Help Desk because I was totally dumb and got right in with an immediatre answer. This company has always been excellent. By the way the camera works with either the Monitor program or Yahoo Messenger but not both at the same time, duh.

not only did i have to download a driver for an additional $5, not that it's about the money, but this product is a piece of garbage. the image ssssstutters and my friends hhhhate iiiichatting wwwith me bbbbecause of it!

i am returning it to amazon and hoping for a full refund, though i'd probaby be satisfied if they just promised to stop selling the item.

Not bad, but doesn't work with iChat.......2007-04-25

You have to have a firewire camera to use iChat. Firewire is Apple's version of USB. Makes sense (in a way) that they would only want Firewire cameras to work with iChat. Shortsighted, stupid and ignorant too. But we are talking about Apple.

I love my iBook. Best web browsing laptop out there. But finding peripherals or software that actually runs on it... Well, let's just say it is a challenge. For what it does, it does it flawlessly, without worms, or viruses or trojans.

But this is still very shortsighted of Apple. The iBook works great with the camera, but not the software ON the thing. Sad.

If you want a camera just to take pictures of yourself, this is not a bad thing. Not gonna replace the Nikkon, but if you're looking for iChat, look elsewhere.

Everything is great about this item except the picture, which is good enough if you're simply seeking an entry level camera.
