I purchased this booster about a year ago and was waiting to see if it would stand the test of the other failed boosters I installed. So far it has worked great, and it was the only booster I found that could help me with my problem in the long run.

I installed a cable splitter inside a wall to accommodate my new flat panel TV and get cable signal where there were no outlet before. This saved me plenty of work avoiding fishing cables or opening walls and overall was very convenient, but the split degraded the signal to a point that some analog as well as digital channels were grainy, or their signal was spotty. I tried several signal boosters with marginal improvement, until I found this piece

I tried other splitter before, they worked fine for a short time (not as good as this one though) and then mysteriously, the signal returned to its previous state. Not with this guy

Very easy to connect, the signal improved dramatically and it had stood the pass of time. It is good that works for both, analog and digital signals. The only thing I can recommend is to connect it at the entry point of the cable TV into your apartment, as it will give you the best signal improvement rate. I think that's the way it is recommended to be connected in the manual, so if it is connected other way don't expect good results

I had been having problems off and on for months with disruptions in my Internet service. I had the cable company techs come out three times to diagnose the problem and they finally decided this was happening due to signal loss through the many splitters that previous techs had installed (instead of wiring the house properly in the first place). So the last tech that was out managed to reconfigure things in such a way that he could eliminate two splitters from the line and the cable began acting fine...for one computer. Apparently the signal was still not strong enough to make it through my router, so I was unable to use my home network until the problem was resolved. Enter the Motorola Signal Booster. I put this baby in the line and voila! no more problems.

This item worked exactly as advertised. Once installed I was able to use VOD (which was did not work prior to installation) and veiw my extra digital cable channels with much high picture quality and no interference or sound drops. The item does not interefere with cable modem use.

My TiVo was having difficulty picking certain stations because I had split my cable three times (two tv's and one computer) and then twice more at the TV so I can watch TV and record TiVo and the same time. All this splitting caused a dramatic loss in signal by the time it reached TiVo. Annoyed, I replaced all the splitters with the "high-end" Monster 2ghz splitters. The splitters did not measurably improve my signal, the missing channels did not appear on TiVo, nor did any channel appear better than before. However, I am using a TV's from the 90's with no HD so I'm not sure if that really would have improved the clarity anyway, but I thought it worth a try. Next I installed the Motorola Broadband drop amp (at the source cable, prior to the three-way split mentioned above) and presto, all those channels that previously were too weak for TiVo to pick up now were coming through great. I can't say for certain if it has improved my internet connection because I never had a problem before but the internet was working great after the installation. Regardless the problem was with the TV and now the TV signal has greatly improved.
