Lexmark disappointing.......2007-05-13

This printer was brought to my attention for use in our media center. We presently have a Z12 hooked up to one of our desktops. We had an X83, I believe, Lexmark scanner, copier, product. Both have been extremely unreliable in their preformance and reliability. We will not be purchasing any more Lexmark products. We rely on our printers to work properly the first time. When I'm in the middle of research or putting my thoughts on paper, and the printer interrupts with a malfunction, time and time again; I'm prone to not consider this brand when shopping for a replacement.

Come on people, it's a $35 all-in-one printer. What did you expect? My first All-In-One cost me $200 and the ink was $30 a pop. If you want photo quality, buy a cheap epson "Photo" printer. For the price, this is a great deal. It's cheaper to operate (ink, one cartridge) and it gets the job done. If you want a top notch printer than you need to pay a top notch price for it. If you want something cheap and handy that gets the job done at a cheaper price then this is the printer for you.

Not Very Satisfied.......2007-01-11

The best feature of this printer is the ability to produce excellent scans of photos. I am very impressed with the quality of the photos, however, document scanning is less than satisfactory. Also the quality of ink in this printer is less than satisfactory, my black ink appears as brown. The printer cover is very lose. The cover will come off in your hands when you open it.

I am amazed at the reviews here. This is THE CHEAPEST all-in-one printer. Yes, the quality isn't as good as lazer printers (what a surprise!!!). Yes, it doesn't print pictures like photo-studio equipment (another amazing surprise here!!!). If you want a perfect printer, you have to pay for it.

This printer feels cheap but it does the job. The quality is quite good, the colors as well. It does jam, but it is so much easier to fix than HP's. For this price (I got mine for $35) you will find nothing better out there.
