Simple Flat Wall Mount - Worked perfect.......2007-06-13

This was exactly what I was looking for. A simple flat wall mount that didn't cost a fortune. I didn't want anything fancy that could tilt or lean or pivot. It worked perfect for me. I used this with a 32" Samsung LCD (LNS3251D - best 32" LCD, by the way.)

I installed it using two of the center holes both screwed into the same stud right in the center of the wall that I used. It felt very sturdy before hanging the TV and still very sturdy after tightening everything up. I couldn't be happier.

My only complaint is the same one a few others had but it's minor, the tool they supply to screw in the tightening screws. It's nice and long to reach behind the screen but too wide to do a full rotation. You have to either bend the tool or keep doing a half turn, pull it out, do a half turn, etc. etc. etc. But once it's done, it's done.

CHECK YOUR VESA SPECIFICATION........2007-06-10

This mountd DID NOT FIT my Samsung 42" plasma. The stantions are too short for a VESA 600 wich have the mounting bolts at 15.75in on center vertically. The stantions for this mount are only 13in. Also, if your TV uses the large 4mm M8 size mounting screws, this kit does not include them and they're too big for the holes in the stantions. Check your TV mounting dimensions BEFORE buying this mount.

This is one of the easiest projects I've in a while. In under 30 minutes, I had my Olevia 27" wall mounted. This product comes with a wide range of screws, as well as spacers and washers. The instructions are clear, but you almost don't need them due to the simplicity of this wall mount. I just looked up my model TV, found the screw sizes needed for the brackets, mounted the wall plate and I was done in under 30 minutes!

The hardest part was tightening the bottom mounted security screws. You'll want to do this to keep the screen from sliding horizontally. Even without that, there are "ends" to the wall plate that keeps it from sliding off. The security screw tool that is included is just a little too wide. You'll find yourself scratching the wall! I managed to bend it enough, such that i could still use it without scratching the wall.

I bought this wall mount unit for my 42 inche plasma tv. It says it will hold up to a 49 inch. It wasn't even close to being able to hold up my 42. It was WAY too small. How is that universal?

Not the best Wall Mount in the world........2007-06-02

First off the description didn't mention this mount was for walls with studs upto 16" apart. Most newer homes are built with the studs further apart 23"-24". Had to mount it soley on the drywall. The instruction manual could not be anymore confusing because it provides instructions not only for the model you purchase but for every other model wall mount....no need for that. Once up on the wall....finally...the function of it serves well but let me tell you putting it together was no cake especially since it's not the right size for my 37" TV. Due to the distance from stud to stud on my wall the recommended mount is the extra larger one 30" wide which is for TV's up to 60".
