A 600 x 1,200 dpi maximum optical scan resolution (up to 9,600 dpi enhanced) combines with 48-bit color depth to provide crisp, true-to-life images, while the printer utilizes Lexmark's inkjet print technology and a 4,800 x 1,200 dpi maximum print resolution (on photo paper) to deliver photo-quality pictures and sharp, easily readable text. Print speeds are as fast as 14 ppm for black and 8 ppm for color, while copy speeds are as fast as 13 ppm for black and 5 ppm for color (draft). Up to 99 copies can be made with the multi-copy feature.

A wide variety of paper types and sizes are accepted, including A4, envelope, letter, legal, photo paper, transparencies, iron-on transfers, labels, and more. The AccuFeed paper-handling system helps avoid time-consuming paper jams. The input paper tray holds up to 100 sheets of 75 gsm bond paper and up to 10 envelopes.

This is as good as the price but it uses a lot of ink and copys are not what they should all in all it is good for the price

This thing was great. One of the Major flaws is the Ink dosn't last very long and also I was lucky tothe point where my other lexmark doesn't feed its paper well. I was going to buy some other $50 printer and as we were walking to the counter I saw this for only $10 more than a regular printer....Everything was good but the ink stinks!

This is a great printer for the price. I got a deal at target for $50. It has photo quality color print on photo paper and the black is clear. My only problem is this printer is relies on a host computer to supply its information. This means that if your computer is slow or has little memory the printer will frequently stall. Also I installed it on my iMac and it won't share with a XP pc. I emailed tech support and they suggested a Lexmark print server for twice what I payed for the printer. And if you try to print hundred page files you'll run out of ink fast. But refil kits work but leaves a grainy print.

Great for the price.......2004-04-28

I went to purchase a scanner to scan in pics originally, but saw this was only a few dollars more, so I went with it. The scan quality and speed is great, you can print and be scanning in other things at the same time, and the print quality for photos it great. Only problem I have had with it is the color ink cartridge lifespan and cost. I'm used to $20 and these are $33 bucks a pop and the color doesnt seem to last very long (especially on photo printing). The black holds out quite a while though. All in all though, a great all-in-one for a great price. I wouldnt trade mine and have even recommended it to several family members.

I got this printer for christmas (2003), and have absolutely loved it! The only mishap I have ever had was when I first got it, I set-up the ink wrong and the color didn't work work at first, but it was easily fixed! I have had no problems so far!
