The Canon i9900 photo printer provides a high-quality, versatile solution for photo enthusiasts and low-volume photo professionals. I have been using my i9900 for nearly two years, and I have to rate it absolutely totally excellent in quality.

However, it's not a cheap printer to buy, and supplies (paper and ink) are expensive as well. But the results are stunning!

I am a professional photographer, and I regulary make 4x6 to 13x19 borderless glossy, matte, or satin prints that rival the very best you can buy from a custom lab.

And it's fast. A 4x6 is out in 30 seconds or so, and a 13x19 print takes only a couple of minutes.

Also, in the nearly two years I've owned this printer, it has never ever clogged! Of course, I only use Canon brand inks, ans I always change them as soon as it says they need changing. I think that makes a difference.

This is truely a great printer.

great prints... fast... quiet.......2007-02-18

Within minutes I was printing 4" x 6" photos that look as good as anything you would get from a professional film processor. Especially nice are the deep red and greens from the additional colors. The separate tank system works well, making this printer a bit cheaper than other ink jet printers I've owned. This printer makes beautiful prints on anything I feed into it... labels, 11 x 17 ink jet paper, plain paper, any kind of photo paper. No problems to report yet and I've been using it for a year.

Big CANON Printer.......2007-02-12

The printer is a 5 star unit, but CANON's attitude toward LINUX insofar as driver support is terrible. The printer has served me well, but the linux issue tends to make me think I might have preferred an EPSON. I would never own a Hewlett-Packard printer because of terrible warranty support (several hundred in a school district). So CANON or EPSON are my choices for photographic work. I prefer CANON inks and they are easier to find than EPSON.

Best print reproduction I have seen. I have always used epson stylus pros but since they now force you to buy their ink I decided to try canon.

This is the best printed ever, it paid for itselt in 2 days of service. I plan to buy 4 more in the next year. If you want quality this is it; this is the printer God would use.
