Amazon needs to get its' act together.......2007-06-11

I ordered this scale twice, and both times it was shipped by Amazon with dead batteries, thus rendering the scale inoperable. While I'm sure it's a good product, it would be nice if Amazon checked it to be sure it was actually functioning before shipping it. I bought another one at a retail store, where I could try out the batteries before purchase.

This replaced a large-mechanical-dial scale of ours. Looks very nice in the bathroom. Seems quite accurate [perhaps depressingly so]. But I agree with SK: that darn "tap to activate" is quite annoying. Other than that, it's well-priced and does what it says.

This two tiered beauty is so pretty I had guests ask me if it were really a scale. They had to try it but said it weighed heavy. Ha ha, I know it weighs right on the mark. My friends must think they are lighter than they really are, but I didn't tell them. I had bought other scales with all the extras but could never get them to work properly. This one does what a "scale" should do, it weights you accurately. If you want a scale that gives your accurate weight and looks beautiful sitting out, this is the scale for you. If you want one that will tell you your body fat and keep a record of your and your spouses weight, you are looking for a different scale and will find those things rarely work well anyway. I have both kinds of scales in my home but use only this one. I absolutely love it. It does take a stomp with one foot or a bang of the heel to turn it on but that is no big deal.

In my opinion, this is the best Glass bathroom scale for anywhere near the price. It looks good, takes up little space, and it works well. The recorded weight is within onces of my Doctors balence beam scales. A great deal. I am happy.
