This is our second tortilla press - we used the first one almost weekly for about 10 years before we finally wore it out. There is some technique to getting your tortilla dough to the right consistency, so I'd suggest trying some different recipes to see what works the best for you. We use one with flour, water and oil and make wonderful tortillas. The most-requested meal when we have friends over is fajitas with homemade tortillas - everyone likes to try their hand at using the press and our kids are quite good at it as well. Get one and have some fun!

Great, well-built tortilla maker. Nonstick surface and heating element are very good. My kids can press and cook about 20 tortillas in 6 minutes, and I've been using it w/o the heat on to press and roll out dough balls for pizza rolls.

I suggest you save your money and buy a rolling pin. On the first use making tortillas with this the handle broke. And no matter how small I made the balls of dough, they wouldnt cook.
