Amazon.com Product Description

Add wireless freedom, stylish looks, and one-touch features to your desktop with the Wireless Optical Desktop Pro keyboard and mouse combination. This desktop package features customizable keys, optical mouse technology, and a comfortable, ergonomic design. The Wireless MultiMedia keyboard's split, gently sloped shape encourages a natural hand, wrist, and forearm position for maximum comfort. Also, your digital media activities are within easy reach--start, play, and navigate music and video clips with the touch of a button. Customizable hot keys let you quickly start Messenger, Mail, Internet, and Calculator programs. And get one-touch access to files stored in the My Documents, My Pictures, and My Music folders in Windows. Perform common tasks right from your keyboard--press a button to open, close, and save documents, send and forward e-mails, put the computer to sleep, log off, and more. Press the F LOCK key to toggle between standard and enhanced function key commands. <P> The mouse's wider, clear scroll wheel allows you to comfortably move through documents and Web pages quickly without clicking the scroll bar. Accelerated scrolling reacts to how quickly you roll the wheel, saving you time and effort. And the optical sensor replaces your mouse ball, for accuracy and precision--no mouse pad needed. It's ambidextrous, too--whether you control it with your right or left hand, the wireless optical mouse is shaped for comfort. <P> Both the keyboard and mouse work within six feet of the included receiver, even if your computer is out of sight. The pair comes with a three-year warranty.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Worth the Money.......2007-05-17

I have two of these,

It took me some time to get use to the keyboard bing that I'm visually Impaired, but all in all, I love this purchase. Some of the Function keys do not work as expected hence the 4 stars. I did have some issues with the Mouse when only the USB plug was used, I connected both the plugs to my tower and the problem was solved. If you have a New Dell PC that does not come with PS2 ports you will need to get an adapter which allows you to connect the two plugs into one with the transceiver. Problem solved.

I did notice that the keypad on the keyboard did not function when connecting with a Sony Vvio laptop running Windows Vista, could not solve that issue to date.

3 out of 5 stars Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Pro.......2007-05-14

Purchased this keyboard but never could get use to the ergonomic design.....sold it on eBay to someone that was looking for this very keyboard. They loved it and were happy to win the bid.

4 out of 5 stars Great ergonomic design. Questionable vertical range.......2007-05-07

I love the Microsoft quality of both the mouse and keyboard. I love the split ergonomic keyboard. My wile likes an old fashion cheap one (good! ha ha!).

But I could not get it to work right, as the keyboard is in a lower drawer beneath my desk. A friend told me that the receiver (with it's long fat wire) may have to be on the same level. I put it right next to the key board and everything is working fine.

Just an FYI.

1 out of 5 stars It did not work .......2007-04-15

My friends told me not to buy Microsoft keyboard but unfortunately I didn't listen.
It didn't work right out of the box. In addition the receiver was very big and ugly. I returned it and I purchased Logitech that works excellent.

3 out of 5 stars Finding myself disappointed.......2007-03-24

Out of the box, I really enjoyed it, love the mouse. I've had it a week so far, and I'm finding though that I'm disappointed over one really really small issue with it. The problem is, I'm a pretty good typist, and when I type quickly, I find that it will drop a keystroke here and there. I thought I was just missing the key or not pressing hard enough, but I'm certain now that it's got some bug in the communication with the hub that every couple of seconds it hiccups or something and drops one of my keystrokes. When you're typing 70 WPM straight for several minutes, you end up dropping several keystrokes.

I'm considering returning it. I type a lot, this is a big deal to me.
