Customer Reviews:
XP, Yes; Vista, No.......2007-05-17
The card did a wonderful job on my XP machine, but when I installed it on my new Vista based computer it was a dud. Vista hates the card just like some of my other hardware. If you have an XP machine and want real improvement in your graphics, it is a great buy.
works well with most programs.......2007-05-12
I purchased this to upgrade an HP mediacenter PC m1264n. It worked perfectly with Call of duty(2003) but had significant lag time with
Delta Force Black Hawk down(2003) I was running w/ 3Gb memory. Although the water textures and lighting was perfect, aiming was almost like a half second delayed-making me a frequent KIA. Photos load quickly. Set-up was difficult since I had on-board video and needed a patch from the PNY
website but their tech support was quick and efficient(don't bother with HP customer support)OK for the cheap price. I think it is the best considering the old technology.
For the price, it's great.......2007-05-05
I use this to work with x5 monitors. I have one onboard, two for PCI-ex16 on an ATIx600. Then All I have left was PCIx1 and PCI. I had a PCIx1 card, dual monitor. But it only had 32mb of videoram . . . ? So I got this one instead and it works just great. I can have a pretty cool OpenGL screensaver running on all 5 monitors and the FPS is still up n to 50's.
It's not meant for gaming, though it will play Jedi Academy on it, something that's popular in the office place at least. Fear makes it cry, but then it makes the rest of my optiplex, standard issue cry anyway.
For the money it's great. It works for what I wanted, another 2 monitors.
Workss.......2007-04-14
good, but to use dual moniter, you have to configure it from Nvidia control panel.
Great for the price.......2007-04-13
Its a great graphics card, especially for the price. I got it to improve Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 and it did. But the controls arent as clear as they could be for the anti-aliasing settings and the anisotropic filtering.
