As its name implies, the Aluminus has been crafted using the finest, most durable lightweight aluminum on the market. This sleek chassis makes a perfect fit of all the leading motherboards. AT, Baby AT, ATX and Micro ATX... it fits virtually all motherboard sizes, and the removable motherboard tray makes installation easy. There's plenty of room to grow with its seven expansion slots. The front swing-out bezel and drive bay covers can be locked for security. The side panel, drive bays and motherboard tray all feature hardware that allow for easy and tool-less removal and installation.Good looks, superior expandability and incredible compatibility don't make a great computer case. What puts the Aluminus at the head of its class is how easy it allows the user to route cables behind drive bays allowing for better airflow within the case. Cables can even be hidden underneath the large "Ultra" drive bay cover, keeping them out of the way of airflow... and out of sight! CPU cooling and VGA cooling vents keep the air flowing coolly and effectively to preserve the integrity of your components within the most productive, heat-producing systems. The Alumnus also includes a 120 mm fan bay for even more cooling power.Ultra Aluminus, the showcase of your extreme gaming or power computing system.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Great case, one glitch.......2007-03-09

The design of the case is stellar with the cooling port directed right over the CPU and the venting options are aplenty. The front of the case, plastic, is the non-slide variety. This means you have to keep the front door open to access the up front USB ports/Firewire port. Also, when opening the front door, sometimes the whole front pulls out, revealing the bay doors for the drives. That should not happen, IMHO. The sliding bays are nice, but the 3.5" is a bit tricky and you have to put the first drive in the top spot or the tray falls apart. I like the look as it sits on my floor and it certainly is lightweight!

2 out of 5 stars Shake Rattle and Roll, a cheap case that looks good........2006-09-29

The product images are incredible. You feel like you are buying a high end server case that is solid metal.

Unfortunately, the case is made of thin guage aluminum and with the side cover of, you can actually flex the case by giving it a slight push. Additionally several metal pieces are touching each other with no bolt, this means as fan components spin up they can cause vibration and uneeded noise.

No door latches, a great feature for modders who need to quickly open the case without unscrewing bolts.

Without purchasing right angle SATA cables, you cannot mount SATA drives facing the clear door on the case. I had to mount my drives in reverse to give the cables enough room.

The entire front door panel is plastic. I do not like plastic front doors because they tend to vibrate over time. Additionally the entire frame of the front door can open, adding yet more places for the plastic to vibrate while the case is in operation.

When purchasing this case, remember to purchase two 120mm fans. You will need them to get the air moving.

The only redeeming quality of the case is the 3.5" drive bays. You can mount a total of 7 3.5" drives into this case. A Sata Raid junkie's dream.

Unless you really need a case that can hold seven hard drives, purchase something else. The noise this case makes under operation will run any serious gamer away.

4 out of 5 stars easy build - sturdy aluminum.......2006-05-27

This is a sturdy extremely light weight case. I found it an easy build, especially because of the slide out motherboard tray. I would have given it a 5 if it came with fans. Thats my only con.
