Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Best "fast" AMD CPU for the price........2005-09-26

Simply put. If you must have the bragging rights for the fastest CPU, buy the FX 55. I'm sure that you will benchmark a little higher than the 4000+ (nee FX53). If you want to pay $450 instead of $1200 and realize that for gameplay you won't notice a thing...get the 4000+

5 out of 5 stars AMD Socket 939 Athlon 64 4000+, 2.4 GHz, 1MB L2 Socket 939.......2004-11-13

Just built my new gaming computer and ill tell ya what this processor is awesome. I thought about spending more money for the FX-55, but ive read alot of reviews on how the processors run basically identicallly when used for games. The fx runs faster with applications but thats no big deal for me since its only a minor difference anyways. This was definately worth the money and im very happy with my new system.
