Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Nice Processor.......2007-05-21

By the time I bought this one the best US$/processing now I think the best may be the E6600. I'm satisfied with him. But if you have the bucks go for the E6600.

5 out of 5 stars great!.......2007-05-17

for the price this little chip has been awesome. and the heatsink is a breeze to put on compared to old ones I've put on before, no fear of putting a screwdrive though your brand new Mboard.

5 out of 5 stars Great product...........2007-03-21

Do I have to say that this is another truly great processor fomr Intel, I would buy the E6600 2.4ghz though, extra 2MB Cache goes a long way,

Been running this with Asus P5W dh & P5n32-Sli Premium and no problems with this chip, the P5W Dh Deluxe gave lots of problems though.

5 out of 5 stars a fabulous overclocker.......2007-02-06

Got one in Jan. 2007. Overclock it to 3.4G with default voltage for daily use. It's screaming fast and rock stable. Compared with E6300, the multiplier of E6400 is 8, so E6400 is much easier to overclock. 400MHz X 8 = 3.2G. This means a pair of normal DDR2 800MHz memory can overclock this baby to 3.2G. In my experience, e6400 can also overclock better than e6600, although it's $100 cheaper.

5 out of 5 stars Great performance for the price.......2007-01-16

If you're looking for a CPU with great overclocking potential, take a very close look at the E6400. With a decent motherboard that allows overclocking functions, anyone with a basic understanding of tweaking the BIOS can take the E6400 from 2.13GHz to 3.2Ghz on stock air cooling.

I've paired the processor with a Gigabyte DS3 motherboard, and on air cooling, I'm able to hit 3.2Ghz running dual Prime95 instances at 2+ hours with no instability issues whatsoever. At these speeds, I'm able to run Super Pi tests as follows: 18s 1M, 43s 2M, 1m43s 4M, 17m19s 32M.
