Okay Product..........2007-06-07

I've been using this keyboard and mouse combo for over a year now. When I first bought this keyboard & mouse combo, the USB adapter was defective so I couldn't connect the keyboard or the mouse. Found this out when I had the logitech support representative trying to help me install it.

Cons:
1. I have all the latest and greatest updates downloaded for the set, but I still have those times when I push down on a key while I'm chatting or surfing the web where the bluetooth usb receiver thinks I'm holding down the key for a long period of time and it won't stop until 1-2 mins pass.

2. I believe the program that comes with the keyboard & mouse, Desktop Messenger, takes up alot of memory on my computer.

Pros:
Other than the minor gliches, it's a pretty good keyboard & mouse set. I love being able to connect my other bluetooth devices via the bluetooth usb receiver.

Sticks All the Time.......2007-05-30

I received this keyboard / mouse combo from Logitech as a replacement for a different defective model of Logitech combo that I had purchased. Not impressed with either of them. The other combo crashed completely after a couple of months. This one - the keyboard keys stick, and a single strike will enter continuously quite often. And, the first key strike in an entry will double almost every time. No amount of playing with the settings corrects this. And, the battery indicator shows that the batteries are low almost constantly - when they are not. I would recommend a different manufacturer....This set has been a constant irritation. I am looking for a better product. I will not be purchasing a Logitech.

I recently got this setup...truely brillant, let me say this... setpoint ver. 3.30, get the update, it makes this what it was intended to be, don't let the older reviews screw you up, this combo is so smooth. There is nothing wrong at all with this hardware...but you must update the software. As is life with these things. E-bay $72 total refurb...too good

Great product the mouse is very sensitive so great for those gamers like me. The keyboard is extremely quiet when hitting the keys and flows very nice. The only think I dont like about this is i accidently hit the mute button every once a while but that is just me.

Some advice on saving money - Use rechargeable AA batteies for your keyboard.

Great setup, easy to use!.......2007-05-17

I don't know why so many people are having problems with connecting this set, I have easily connected it to my laptop running Vista and the built-in bluetooth, as well as my desktop running XP and using the supplied reciever. No problems whatsoever. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, was because the mouse feels a bit cheap for the price point. I have a logitech media mouse that has a much smoother and more solid feel - particularly in the scroll wheel. I use the MX5000 with my laptop all the time, and have had no trouble at all. The extra buttons could be improved, but that is really only personal taste and varries from user to user. The main thing I wanted was a cordless setup that I could use with the built-in bluetooth on my laptop so I wouldn't have to use the dongle, and this does the trick just fine.
Highly reccommended.

IMPORTANT: YOU MUST DOWNLOAD AND USE THE NEWEST VERSION OF SETPOINT - IF YOU ARE USING VISTA, BE SURE TO GET THE VISTA VERSION - BOTH ARE EASILY FOUND ON LOGITECH'S WEBSITE. THE INCLUDED CD IS PROBABLY THE SOURCE OF MOST OF THE PROBLEMS PEOPLE ARE HAVING.
