I love it... TV on my Mac.......2007-06-08

I have purchased only a handful of products that I think are truly cool and worth every penny. This Elgato EyeTV Hybrid. I have a 17 inch iMac with 1 gig of RAM and this tuner works wonderful on it. I live in Concord, NH so I cant receive any over the air channels so I have my analog cable plugged into it and I receive like 60 channels and I cant complain at all about the quality.

This unit has excellent DVR functionality. The titan TV software allows remote scheduling so you can be at work and log into your Titan TV account and schedule recordings. It works wonderfully with the Apple remote and also includes a remote control as well. You can export your recording to play on your iPod. Your computer will re-encode the video to a size that will play on your iPod but from what I have heard this takes a long time. All in all, as another reviewer said you really cannot go wrong with this device.

Great for an RV.......2007-05-13

I bought this for our small 5th wheel . It's tiny, works great, and was a lot less expensive than a flat panel tv. Since I always travel with my Mac laptop, it was the perfect solution. Easy set-up, works on cable or antenna.

Even better if you have Core 2 Duo macs when capturing.

It's outstanding and better made than Miglia's equivalent which needs a very fragile adapter to connect the antenna cable and does not have super video and A/V inputs like this one.

I purchased this after looking at several solutions for a video/TV monitor for my exercise room. After looking at several conventional solutions, I chose this to use with my Mac Book Pro and a set of external speakers. I now have a portable entertainment center that I can take on the road with me when I travel. I mainly use the EyeTV for watching cable news while running. I have also been using the record and scheduling function, which has been great, as there is an automatic export feature that syncs with my iPod video. This comes with a convenient remote, which is nice for obvious reasons.
I have no complaints thus far, have used it for about a month with great satisfaction and recommend it to anyone looking to view broadcast/cable programming on their Mac or iPod.
