5 out of 5 stars Works so well I have 3 and thinking of more.......2007-06-10

I love the availability of sending my computer audio to anywhere in the house, while also having the benifit of certain sounds staying at the computer. Having all my music on the computer, and listening to alot of streaming music it allows me to stream my audio any were in the house with full audio range. I can get a mean tump out of my stereo sub with this baby! The only thing that I don't care for is the fact that its been months now, and there is no vista drivers yet!

5 out of 5 stars Works great!!!.......2007-06-07

I was not so sure about buying the music bridge because of what every body was saying about the hi level of skills that you need to make it work.... Thanks God I decided to buy it, it is almost plug and play and works great.

5 out of 5 stars Works like a charm.......2007-05-26

The performance of this unit is outstanding. The setup was reasonable considering my network is complex, and interfacing it to my Sony home theater system was a breeze. I can now stream my audio files directly from my media server easily. This works so well that I may purchase additional units for other sound systems in my home. A great product for the price!

3 out of 5 stars Cost Effective Solution.......2007-05-18

This product really fills a niche for those who want to connect their music library on their computer to their home stereo system. There are other more function rich solutions to the problem but not at the price point under $100. I have the music bridge up and operational and am quite satisfied with the performance as described. My computer in in a home office space and my stereo is in the livingroom about 25 feet away and it works perfectly.

The downside was that initial installation and set up was very frustrating and a call to the technical support people in what I assume was India was not helpful at all. Thye basically tried to blame the manufacturer of the wireless gateway but in fact the issue was resolved ultimately in mysterious ways. Lot's of computer reboots and suddenly it all worked!

The biggest complaint that I have is that the software directs everything that your sound card puts out to either your computer speakers or through the bridge to your stereo. Not both. You can switch between the two with the interface on your desktop but to really make the switch you ahve to re-boot the computer. Bad design that seems should be corrected at this point.

All in all though, I am pleased to be able to direct my music library in i-Tunes to my stereo.

5 out of 5 stars My Music Bridge works perfectly.......2007-05-14

I don't know why there are so many negative reviews of this product here. Works fine for me now.
I have the LinkSys Wireless-G Music Bridge WMB54G version 1.0, with Firmware V2.12 Aug 14 2006.
I ran the install CD and selected an administrators password. When I went into the device's built-in web page, it did not accept the administrators password I entered earlier. So I figured the install CD had some bugs in it and decided to not use the install CD anymore. I followed the instructions to reset the device to factory defaults and started over, using only the device's built-in web page to complete the configuration. I set it up with my WPA PSK AES encryption codes. The device is capable of DHCP but they strongly encourage you to use Static IP, so that it never has any problem or delay in syncing with the router, and I think they are probably right on the money with that concern. I've been using it with MusicMatch, WinDVD, Windows Media Player, it works perfectly all the time.
