Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Works well, issue with Macbook Pro........2007-06-12

I found the other reviews to be true: sort of sleeps quickly, need to shake it to wake up, etc. Hopefully the promised long battery life makes up for this.

I like it and would recommend it, but I haven't tried others so have nothing to compare to.

One issue with using it with my Macbook Pro, and this may not be the mouse's fault: If I do not turn it off before I put my MBP to sleep, the laptop essentially crashes and I have to hold the power button down and reboot.

If I diligently switch off the mouse first, wait until the Mac shows that it's disconnected, then all is well. Just FYI.

Good price. Exactly what I was looking for. Arrived in 2 days. Easy setup and connection with laptop Bluetooth.

5 out of 5 stars Comfortable, functional - works fine with Windows Vista too.......2007-06-04

Works fine out of the box with my Windows Vista Ultimate laptop - plug and play and away I went.. After two months of use I'm still pleased with this mouse. I have size "large" hands and this mouse just reaches my palm to provide enough support so my hand doesn't cramp. Seems to be a sturdy unit. The two "AA" batteries batteries weigh it down a bit more than a corded mouse. The scroll wheel provides a balanced resistance - it's smooth yet requires enough pressure to spin that it doesn't seem like a free-spinning wheel and I like that. The mouse pointer does not skip. The on/off feature on the mouse is great - saves battery power!

The bluetooth signal starts fading about 15 feet away on my Dell Inspiron 6400, but at that range I can't really make out what's on the screen anyway - still 15 feet is useful for presentations.

Overall I'm pleased with this unit. What solidifies the 5 stars is the zippered carry case - a somewhat stretchy, neoprene type fabric. I just zip up the mouse, toss it in my carry bag and I don't worry about it getting scratched. Believe the hype - this unit is worth buying.

5 out of 5 stars Much nicer than what I expected.......2007-06-01

I have been a strong supporter of wireless mice for a few years. I noticed that when using a cord mice there is always a small degree of energy spent "fighting" the cord, instead of just moving the mouse to position. After just a few minutes using a wireless mouse (RF) I knew I couldn't go back to corded mice.

I have been using the Microsoft Intellimouse wireless series for the past few years, since they needed a change of batteries every week or two. The current generation is much more effective, but it still uses a dongle. Dongles are OK with me if it is a desktop, but I switched to a Macbook Pro and I was not going to carry a dongle with me.

After a couple months putting up with the corded mice on the Macbook Pro I couldn't take it anymore and ordered the Logitech V270. I was a bit worried that it was considered a laptop (compact) mouse because my hands are a bit on the big side. The reality of the matter is that it doesn't matter, after just a few minutes my hands adapted just fine, and it feels no different than the Microsoft Explorer mouse profile.

Installing took a grand total of four minutes, of which probably three were spent clicking around trying to find out if there were any extra settings. Some reviews here hint at a slight delay the first time you move the mouse. I have felt it but it is very subtle.

The mouse is exactly one month old, and it is still on the first pair of batteries. This is a laptop that I use pretty much nonstop for 12-15 hours at a time, so I am pretty impressed. The silver paint is almost a dead match for the paint on the Macbook Pro, and I don't see any nicks yet, which is some kind of a miracle. The mouse came with a nice little carrying pouch but I have only used it once, I telecommute and by pure coincidence I have travelled less than usual in the past month.

Back when I was a Windows user I stopped using Logitech products because for a while their drivers suffered from chronic buffer overruns. I don't know what is the current state of Logitech software on Windows (one of my coworkers uses one with Windows, never complains about it), but it was nice to see how well it worked in OS X.

I would definitely recommend this mouse for use with Apple Macbook and Macbook Pro. I can't tell if it will be as easy to use with Windows.

I got it for my Mac 17" PowerBook to replace my 1 button Apple bluetooth mouse. I've also used an USB Logitech mouse for years enjoying it very much. This mouse is 'herky jerky'. It's like using the little dot mouse on a PC's keyboard; very hard to get going and control well. I've tried adjusting the settings, but that's yielded very little difference. I feel I've wasted my money. It sits in its little zippered pouch unused. One star.
