1 out of 5 stars 4 port router.......2007-02-23

I bought this two years ago...then it went dead...contacted linksys and they said it the life of this router is only around 2 years anyway...so if you want to buy a router and not have to replace it then find something else...dont waste your time

4 out of 5 stars Good Router.......2006-12-15

Good Simple On line menu is easy Understand, A must for Plug and Go system if ya need to hook more then one computer at a Time Highly recommended

1 out of 5 stars Mine was flaky, would only connect for a couple of minutes.......2005-10-25

Mine was new from Frys, but would stop responding (could no longer ping it) after a few minutes. Resetting the router by unplugging it would allow it to work for another couple of minutes.

I guess I just had a bad one, but google'ing seems to indicate it's a flaky product.

I got a Netgear Wireless router WGT624 that seems a lot better and barely bigger or more expensive.

5 out of 5 stars Even An Idiot Like Me Can Install It With No Problems.......2005-05-03

I'm writing this review not because I'm an expert with routers or networking, but because I was able to install this little jewel all by myself without any help from anybody. Believe me, that's a recommendation! I did use the installation CD-ROM and it took me through a completely automated installation procedure (I'm using XP - I don't know how it works with other versions of Windows) and it was up and running within ten minutes max from opening the box to surfing the Net. As far as I can see it is absolutely transparent, no speed changes, no glitches.

If this computer idiot can be satisfied, I figure anyone can be.

3 out of 5 stars ok router for the average user.......2005-02-26

When i first bought this router i loved it. the price was great the size was great and it seemed to do its job until i realized that my 3 meg cable connection was cut in half everytime i connected through the router. I bought the router to be able to hook my xbox up to the internet at the same time as my computer but soon realized also that there NO VOICE in online games!.. so if you are wanting this router for that purpose dont buy it! If you want something to just share your internet connection to other pcs with and dont care that your connection speed is going to be cut in half then by all means buy it!
