This game was worth it, i know i just bought it and its been out for a while but it still is fun to play. i mean ive unlocked how to build a city so now i think im ganna work a real one now in my back yard... na im kidding but for real its a good game, so if you like a game that never ends this is the one you want.

Sim City 4 (Deluxe Edition).......2007-05-12

If you like the past Sim City games, you should really try this one out. What I like the most is you can see what roads the sims take to and from work, also the driving missions. I believe these features are available only in the rush hour expansion though.

The things that could've been better are just teidious little hassles you have to deal with. The biggest thing I have trouble with is the roads. When you zone a space, the game makes a grid of roads within the zone. Its hard to get the roads to line up with neighboring zones hence the annoying hassle.

Annoyance #2 is zoning along the coast or steep hills. Every lot of property has to have at least one side facing a road and the property itself has to be pointed in the direction of the road or you get a big icon that shows the lot isnt accessable. This is a very unessisary rule and there isnt a option to turn it off. When zoning steep uneven terrain the automatic grid of roads cant always get roads to cooperate resulting in a bunch of unaccessable lots.

Overall the gameplay is nice and once you get the hang of dealing with the road grids it is a very cool game to play. Unlike SC3000 bigger and better power plants, schools, parks and other luxuries are not only restricted by dates invented, but you have to meet certain specifications to make them available (usually population benchmarks). These give the game little goals to achieve as you go, if you like that kind of thing.

SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition is the best yet.
the graphics are awesome and the new ways to interact with your city and it's inhabitants are SOooo totaly cool!
the maps you create Can be used with "The Sims 2 (PC)" as new nieghborhoods.
Simcity 4 Deluxe Edition contains the Rush Hour" expansion pack, wich allows you to use the "U Drive It" options and controls, where you can control a large selection of vehicles in the game.

Played Sim City many years ago, and it is improved. I believe that it needs to be more interactive.

Fun game, frustrating at times........2007-05-03

This is a very fun and addictive game, my only complaint is the random crash to desktops. Im running Xp (SP 2) and have a fairly robust gaming computer. After about 2 hours of gameplay the game just crashed on me. No error message or anything. I have since patched the game from the Maxis website and save often. Haven't had another crash yet but may not have played for a long enough duration at one time. Otherwise this is a very nice update on SimCity.
