The mouse connected to the integrated bluetooth on my R50p without a problem. I did not install the Logitech software. I have done some gaming and did not notice any lag. I have large hands and it is a little small, but I think I can get used to it.

Just like the diNovo keyboard, this easily connected to my Dell's built-in bluetooth, so I didn't install the software (which I've heard is problematic). I REALLY like not having a dongle hanging out of the back or side of my machine! The only problem is it seems to occasionally lose communication with my laptop and either (a) I have to jiggle it until the two start talking again or (b) sometimes I have to turn the mouse off and then back on. It's not a terrible inconvenience though, so I just live with it.

Amazing battery life.......2007-06-09

I'm using this with an MacBook (Intel). Configuration was simple. I almost never turn the mouse off, yet a pair of NiMH batteries lasts for months (then I put in a charged pair, and charge the ones I took out). When the mouse has been idle for a long time it takes a couple of seconds to wake up (some of that time might be re-establishing communication with the laptop), but this is not a problem.

Turn on your bluetooth receiver at your pc/laptop, turn on the mouse. The mouse gets detected, and it is immediately usable. There is a CD that comes with the mouse from Logitech that should enable the user to re-assign button functionalities. However, the CD wouldn't install the software for me as it thought the bluetooth stack on my laptop was not compatible (it's a vaio with toshiba bluetooth stack). In my case, I can go without the CD as I did not need to reconfigure the keys. Hence, one star got taken off.

Good for Gaming.......2007-06-05

I just received my V270 and so far so good, looks great and works great with the integrated bluetooth on my Asus V6VA notebook. The pouch and batteries that come with it are nice extras. I do notice the slight lag when the mouse "wakes up" but its almost instantaneous so no problem there. The size of the mouse is a little small but then again it is advertised as a travel mouse.. overall very comfortable to use, I got used to it within 15 minutes. But all that stuff has been mentioned already in the other reviews. I wanted to comment on the gaming performance. Im not a hardcore gamer but I do play religiously on COD2 rifle servers. I was concerned there might be lag with the bluetooth/wireless connection. But all that worry is gone now after using it. It feels more sensitive and accurate than my old MX500, I guess because of the higher dpi. Also because its smaller than the MX500, I have better control over it resulting in more precise movements and an improved gaming score. The V270 is actually the best mouse Ive used for gaming, in terms of accuracy. For daily use though the mouse might be a bit small for bigger hands. Certainly not as comfortable as the MX series but still a good buy. Now lets just hope it stands the test of time like my trusty old MX500 has.
