Well satisfied with this product.

However, I am unable to use a HDMI switcher (4 port) that I ordered at the same time. It interferes with my DVD player by cutting off connection. When I removed the switcher, everything worked fine. I was surprised something that seemed that simple caused problems. Guess I'm stuck with a lemon.

P-dink modems are cheap junk and should only be given away at carnivals as prizes. The P-dink tech support sew clothing by day and phone support at night for stupid Americans.

Ran fine for just over a year. Pointedly, this took it just beyond the warranty period. Then, the converter in the AC power cord failed, mearly bursting into flames. Unfortunately, the failure mode also took out the modem itself. So, instead of a $15 power cord, I got to replace the whole modem. I bought a different brand this time, with a 3-year warranty. Ominously, however, both modems were made in China.

The whole installation:
1) Comcast cable guy install cable jack (5 mins)
2) install d-link modem (2 mins) mostly unpacking from the box
3) Comcast cable guy call service center to provide the serial, model, and MAC address (5 mins)
4) boot computer (2 mins)
5) went to Comcast site to install comcast software for Modem/mail (8 mins)
6) reboot computer and modem (2 mins)
7) I am online checking my mail. NICE!

a total of 22 mins for installing from beginning to end. But I waited 2.5 hours for the cable guy to come.

So far, I had it for a week, getting about 359KBytes/sec from RJ45 and about 140KBytes from Wireless G.

Easy to set up and worked great for 2 months then it just stopped working. Horrible customer service! Will never buy from this company again!!
