Amazon.com Product Description
The e-GeForce4 MX4000 delivers cost-effective graphics performance for today's media world. It features 128 MB of 64-bit, 5 nanosecond memory with a 3.2 GB-per-second memory bandwidth. It supports Nvidia's nView technology with integrated dual 350 MHz RAMDACs, allowing you to connect two displays for more room to spread out your work or fun. The Nvidia video processing engine (VPE) and integrated MPEG-2 hardware decoder shoulders most of the work involved in displaying high-quality video from DVDs, freeing your CPU from the job and ensuring smooth playback of even the most frenzied action scenes.
3-D Features
The e-GeForce4 MX4000 uses Nvidia's Accuview antialiasing subsystem, which offers high-resolution antialiasing without performance degradation. Integrated hardware transform and lighting (T&L) and DirectX and S3 texture compression makes it compatible with most of today's hottest PC games. Nvidia Shading Rasterizer and true reflective bump mapping brings out the shade and details around edges, making objects look more realistic and three-dimensional. Other features include cube environment mapping, 32-bit color with 32-bit z/stencil buffer, multi-buffering, and two dual-rendering pipelines.

EVGA video cards have attained "Designed for Windows XP" certification. Their video cards have passed rigorous testing and take full advantage of all of the features and capabilities of Microsoft Windows XP.

Customer Reviews:
Best video card for the money.......2007-05-13
This card is great, especially if you want a second video output to a tv with S-video(the cord that has several pins coming out).
On a computer with a 2.6 GHz Celeron processor and 256 MB of RAM, the NVidia control panel took a long time to load, but once it loads, it's pretty useful. You won't have to run that control panel but maybe once anyway. The control panel I speak of is actually the downloaded program from their website, I didn't use the installer on the CD due to a crack in the disc(shipping's fault, I'm sure).
This card may not be the best for 3D gaming, but it's good for everything else. I even ran Google Sketchup through it(low-level 3D program). I haven't tried it with 3D games, but from the specs, I wouldn't expect it to play the latest games very smoothly. Check the game's system requirements.
One caveat, though: I'm sure this applies to all video cards, so I won't count this against it, but, if your computer uses integrated graphics(video output built in to the motherboard rather than a card), the card will deactivate that output. You may be able change the settings to reactivate the card through the BIOS, but that's only recommended for people comfortable with going into the computer's BIOS. Read the manual before going into the BIOS.
In spite of that caveat, you can still have dual monitor support by using the VGA output AND the S-video output on this card. The S-video output is lower resolution, though, because it's designed to go to a TV, which has lower quality than a computer monitor. You can activate the dual output through the NVidia control panel.
All-in-all, a great card.
Buy another one, this is not for gaming.......2007-03-30
I bought this card thinking I was going to have a better performence than shared video memory, but I think is almost the same, so buy another.
Works great.......2007-03-23
Once we replaced this card in our hard drive, everything is working just fine.
Thank you.......2007-02-24
I have searched and searched and spent about 300 dollars searching for the right video card for me. Buying high end cards and none of them working the way they should, Online the other day looking for a great deal hoping for a good item. I have finally found the card for me I had my doubts because I am running Vista Home Premium, the card went in without any problems no software needed for the instal. I love it thank you Amazon!
easy install very good support.......2007-02-13
This works great in my Emachine PC. had a little trouble installing because drivers from ATI card I had before wouldn't uninstall. eVGA support was very helpful solving this.
