I use the LeCie to backup my Vista system, it works great and it's fast. Could not ask for a better external drive.

The disk is OK. A weak point - power cord. The disk mama does not hold the cord's papa tightly enough, it falls out easily. The connector's wires are very fragil, and if damaged - you have to by the whole unit that costs nearly the same as the disk.

the hard drive is great and runs fine and fast, easy to install just plug and play but it is ONLY 232 gb not 250 even though it is advertised as such and the box it self is advertised as such.

I recently had to send in my laptop for a small repair, and I needed to back up my media files. In particluar I have an extensive itunes library I was concerned about. This worked perfectly....not to mention as my music library grows further, I'll have plenty of space for it.
