Amazon recommends you "also" buy this. I'd say it's a must unless you have a USB 2.0 printer cable lying around the house.

The printer won't work without a cable, and the printer I got did not come with a cable. Thank goodness for amazon's foresight.

Works fantastically well...and since 2.0 speed is fast...printing is a snap with my new printer (Samsung, SCX-4200).

When I was in a store looking at the printer I ultimately bought from Amazon, I noticed the USB cable that they had sitting next to the printer was selling for $27. I'm not a big purchaser of technical products, but that seemed a bit much for a cable.

THis cable seems like a good deal. I've only been using the cable for a couple days now, but it seems just fine and is doing the job. Shipping was super fast and the product was as described.

I Purchased this product because it was advertised as having gold plated connectors. The bag it came in labeled it as being gold plated. It WAS NOT gold plated in the least.
