I bought this to use for my laptop, which has a horrible internal wireless LAN adapter, and it's great!
It's incredibly light, not too big, gives me excellent signal around my house, and is a snap to install.
I didn't face any problems that other reviewers mentioned, and best of all, I got it for only 15 bucks.
Can't really go wrong with it.

I am awaiting a refund for this item. After 2 days trying on my own and working with the Linksys technical support line, I could not get it to work on any of three computers. I finally went out and bought a Netgear wireless adapter that was up and running in 5 minutes. This item did not come with the Linksys install software. Instead it came with a copy of the driver installation software available on the Linksys site. Whether or not this contributed to the problem, I don't know.

I don't know why anyone would give this less than 5 stars. It installed easily (I skipped the installation program and let Windows recognize and configure the device). It has never failed in two months. The speed is perfectly adequate. Who could ask for more from something so cheap?

Had no problems whatsoever hooking this adapter up and tapping into my home network. Currently have a Microsoft router, linksys vonage phone adapter, and a generic usb adapter. I was up and running with this adapter in 10 minutes tops. The router is upstairs and the computer with this adapter is downstairs and across the house and I have good-very good reception at all times. Couldn't be happier with what I paid (less than 20 bucks shipped on Amazon!)
