Designed specifically for teacher/student applications and device hardware testing or tutorial applications, the new Belkin OmniView 2-Port Dual Access KVM Switch allows two users simultaneous, uninterrupted access of one computer from two sets of PS/2 keyboards, mice, and monitors. The Dual Access OmniView works with Windows 95, 98, NT, WIN2000, Novell, and Linux operating systems.The Dual Access OmniView features a powerful auto scan function that automatically polls each console port for first-come-first-serve access of the computer. This feature prevents keyboard-mapping errors and ensures "view only" for the second user. Standard connectors make cabling installation simple and cost-effective for the user. For Macintosh and Sun workstation support, an OmniView Mac or Sun Adapter Kit can be used.

KVM works w/ 2 19" Flat Panel Monitors.......2007-02-20

I purhcased this reverse KVM switch to share a PC between 2 people. It works great with the 2 19" Dell monitors that came with our PCs. I even hooked up 2 additional regular KVM switches to it so that 2 different people can share this PC as their second PC. So it our configuration, we have 3 PCs connected. Each person has a primary PC and they share a 2nd PC between the two which is hooked up with the reverse KVM. Works like a charm.

The product works fine when using regular CRT type monitors but fails to provide adequate signal strength when using Flat Panel monitors. The 17" Flat Panel I tested was one provided with a Dell system. So, if you're hooking up 2 CRTs to a single system this product works very well. But if you're hooking up 2 Flat Panel monitors, it will not work. Belkin is aware of this but they don't put this fact in their advertising and marketing literature.
