The 4312AF is Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR compliant, supports the newest Bluetooth multi-media profiles including A2DP, and is RoHS Lead-free. It implements the Bluetooth Piconet protocol which supports concurrent connections with up to seven other Bluetooth devices.

Bluetooth Gave Me A Toothache.......2007-06-09

I am very sensitive to the amount of overhead (time and effort) required to install computer software and hardware. I suspect many companies market products which are immature as a way to generate income sooner and use the customer as a test bed to refine their products. This is a huge "hidden cost". I am paying that cost with this product.

This product has required substantial amounts of both time and knowledgeable effort and I still do not have a functioning product.

After following the installation instructions I was unable to get the device to work. The computer would not recognize one of the USB Root Hub drivers. I went to the website and downloaded published fixes. These fixes required manipulating the registry - a potentially dangerous activity for those not familiar with the consequences of being very careful and methodical.

This effort was rewarded by being able to initialize the management software but one USB Root Hub Device Driver still could not be recognized rendering the product inoperable. In all, over the course of 3-4 days, my son and I (he is an electronics engineer developing bluetooth software applications for Volkswagen)spent around six hours troubleshooting this product without success. I have not gone back to it again to continue the effort. I will not purchase products from this company again.

I obtained this Zoom Bluetooth v2.0 PC Card for DUN connectivity between a Verizon Palm Treo 650 and a Toshiba convertible Tablet PC running Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005. I installed updated product drivers from Zoom onto the Tablet PC as well. Of the various PCs and Bluetooth adapters I own, I must state that the Zoom software made DUN configuration with the Treo 650 the easiest I've experienced to date. This is possibly due to the fact that the Zoom Bluetooth PC Card software seems to be actually developed by Toshiba, and I happened to place it onto a Toshiba Tablet PC.

I wanted to do away with all the cables associated with syncing my Sony Ericsson P910i phone with my notebook, and after doing some research, Zoom's Bluetooth Pc card had the best features. As for range its more than acceptable, given the limited range of the other Bluetooth devices (a chain is as strong as its weakest link). It installed fast, and works flawlessly every time, I recommend it fully.

UP...It is Great!!! This BlueTooth PCMI, is the answer to have no more problems conecting mouse,audiophones...It conects on secons...NO more dungs!!!!Save usb ports.
Down...The reach is about 10 to 15 meters...
