this cable is just doing the hdmi job between my cd recorder/upgrade player. Don't know why to pay more for monster!

I don't know alot about HDMI Cables, but these were cheaper than the ones in the store. I already owned a set that I bought from a store and needed another for my upconvert DVD player. These seem like they are basically the same thing for less money. I haven't used any of the really expensive ones but these work good for me. No problems.

Cables to Go's HDMI cable for about $14.00,Cables To Go HDMI Cable - 2m (40315) versus various electronic departments in retail stores' $60 to $80 cables, works fine. I'd give it a 5 rating but haven't had it long enough to write that it's 100% across the board. One thing's for sure, I'll check with Cables to Go before I buy any type of computer or electronics cable.

I am not an expert. I do NOT have a $25,000 home theater. All my equipment is Sony except for the speakers, which are Bose. I have a 400-disc DVD changer with a 32-inch LCD Sony KDL-32V2500 display. I use an analog cable signal and no blue ray discs. My DVD player allegedly upgrades the signal of my regular DVDs. While a digital signal is a digital signal, bandwidth is still bandwidth. If I had a more serious/expensive system, I may have gone with a heftier cable, but these cables seem to be pretty hefty themselves. I am not expecting them to fall apart any time soon. The connectors seem stable and fitted to last forever. I can see the improvement watching my DVDs. I do not believe using the Monster cable could make the signal any better than what it is with this cable.
