Loved the card and works fine. My only complaint is the tall capacitors used on the board. Not a big deal for the careful but there's always that chance they'll break off and render the card useless. A bit paranoid perhaps but I'm not always careful enough.

Having a strong need for more USB 2.0 ports on my machine, I looked at several different options. I kept coming back to this PCI Card from Iogear. I have purchased a number of products from Iogear over the years, and have become confident in their products. I have yet to have any issue with Iogear's hardware, and this card is no exception. I am running Vista Ultimate on my computer, so I did spend some time researching to see if this product would be compatible... as most have found, in some cases just because it says it is "Vista ready" or "Vista Compatible", that may not turn out to be the case.

I've been running the card for about a month now, and not a single issue. Wireless network adapters, external drives, cameras, all ran fine without any issues. In fact, I was able to use an old external Imation floppy drive using the ports on this card, when previously using my computer's built-in USB 2.0 ports didn't seem to work.

Installation was very easy, and upon the initial boot-up after installing the card, Vista immediately recognized the device and loaded the appropriate driver as needed. Once at my desktop it was only a few seconds and the new USB 2.0 ports were ready to go! If you have an available PCI slot, and need more USB 2.0 ports, this card should do it for you!

This is a great card, it have 5 ports 1 internal and 4 external, the installation is very easy, no need to install drivers (under XP) fast transfer rates (usb 2.0 480mbps) its very stable. if you need more usb ports on your computer use this one is cheap, work excellent, is stable and easy to install, just plug in

I was unsure what to buy that would work for my mac- and this Iogear 5 port USB 2.0 PCI card worked great. Installing in the mac was easy. Remove the metal cover from an extra slot- stick in the card- screw it into place and voila`! Turn your mac on and it's there- no software to install- nothing special to do- Just insert and enjoy high speed transfers! The reason I didn't but the Startech was because someone else's review mentioned compatibility issues- well, I don't know if that's true or not- but I thought it was worth the extra $5 for peace of mind in buying a name brand PCI card. So far, so good!

Upgraded a friend's older Dell to USB 2.0. His external HD runs great. Easy install. Very inexpensive. Lots of USB 2.0 ports.
