I had a similar USB NIC card that died. I repaced it with this one and am very pleased. These things are hard to find, but of course I found it on Amazon!

I used the Belkin F5D5050 Networking USB to Ethernet Adaptor to connect my TiVo directly to my high speed internet, bypassing a phone line altogether. I tried other cables, including a TiVo brand one, but nothing worked with the tivo shipped OS, except the Belkin.

After looking all over the internet and Tivo's website I finally settled on this adaptor. It worked first time out of the box. No problems at all.

This adaptor was very user friendly. My computer found the hardware right away and the driver was easy to install. The product seems well made; I really like the flexible cord because it gives any relief to cord strain. I was hooked up to the Internet within seconds!

I switched to DSL but didn't have an ethernet card. I spent hours trying to install one and never could get it to work. This was easy. The software was quick and easy to install and the Belkin adapter simply plugs into a usb adapter. It will hold me until I upgrade my computer.
