Customer Reviews:
Great product - no problems!!!.......2007-03-26
I am most pleased with this switch - it works as advertised. Am using it to switch between a Dell XPS 500T (P3) and a Dell 4600 (P4). Monitor is a Samsung 790DF.
Equipment is installed in a standard computer workstation (with one system unit placed adjacent to the workstation). Cables were "just" long enough (could have used another foot).
Poor customer service, product defective.......2007-01-30
I wouldn't buy anything from this company. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen. I got the product working (despite the unbelieveably poor documentation), but the output on my monitor showed ghosting and poor image quality. I called them and after waiting almost an hour on hold they said "swap the cables and call us back". At least that's what I think he said --- he barely spoke English. I tried their recommendation and it made no difference. Called them back and they said the product was defective after asking me 8 or 9 completely rediculous questions. Said I should ship it back to them (at MY cost) and they would ship me a new one in "a few weeks"! I told them I didn't think that was a very good policy (I'd only had the product 2 days), and that if that was their policy I wouldn't buy their products. They said "Your Choice, goodbye". That was it. Well I DO have a choice and you do too!
Reliable, neat, well worth the cost.......2006-11-12
Reliable. The button for switching from one PC to the other works without problems. Previously I had a IOGear MiniView. Pressing the switch button correctly was an art one had to master.
For me the separate button for switching USB connections is a blessing. If one computer is in the middle of printing, I can swich to the other without disrupting it.
Poor Quality.......2006-05-08
Product was missing AC adapter...couldn't even plug it in. After hassling with it and trying to rummage around to find an AC adapter to work with it, I gave up and packaged it up and returned it. Instructions and documentation are horrible. Would not recommend this product.
Works better than I hoped........2005-05-28
Despite some hurdles I had getting this KVM working I'm overall pleased. It works good and I haven't noticed any mouse or keyboard lag while using a USB keyboard/mouse. A nice side effect of this KVM is it combines the keyboard/mouse into a single USB interface. This means that I now have one USB cable connected to my computers for a keybord/mouse instead of 2. This saves me an extra USB port. For those that have a PS/2 keyboard and mouse this KVM will emulate USB (convert); therefore you can use a PC keyboard/mouse with a Mac. My only real grip with this device is inability to switch between computers using Hotkeys while using a USB keyboard. This isn't necessarily a deal breaker for me because I wanted a button on the KVM for switching, but it would be nice if it supported both.
