Amazon.com Product Description

Offering a downright amazing feature set for such an affordable price, Cyber Home's compact CH-DVD 300S makes a rich and promising starter player. You get everything from top-of-the-line progressive-scan component-video outputs to built-in MP3 decoding, JPEG image viewing, and 3:2 pulldown for viewing movies in their native frame rates.
Whether your living room is currently home to an HDTV or you're merely thinking of "someday," the CH-DVD 300S stands ready to deliver the full potential of DVDs. Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, providing higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts. Composite- and S-video outputs bring compatibility with nearly any television.
With 3:2 pulldown support, the player corrects for a common distortion in DVDs when 24 frames-per-second movies make the leap to 30 fps video; 3:2 pulldown removes the redundant information to display a film-frame-accurate picture.
A set of multichannel analog-audio outputs routes decoded Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround signals to your audio/video receiver. Dolby Digital and DTS signals can also be channeled through the player's digital-audio outputs (one each of RCA coaxial and optical) for direct connection to a surround-featured AV receiver. The player has left/right analog audio outputs, too.
The CH-DVD 300S is compatible with DVD-R/-RW and DVD+R/+RW media, handling just about any recordable disc you give it. It can even play both PAL- and NTSC-formatted discs, handy when viewing non-region-specific European discs. Other features include motion zoom, screen saver, last-disc resume, and repeat play.
What's in the Box
DVD player, AC power cord, multi-function remote control, remote batteries, and a composite-video/stereo analog-audio interconnect.

3 out of 5 stars hard to know what you'll get.......2007-05-31

I have bought this same player multiple times. Usually it'll last me a year or two before dying (which is what I expect for the price), but my last one was only about a month old when it stopped working. What a disappointment. I've had much more expensive players that didn't last as long too, though . . .

5 out of 5 stars Great Little DVD player.......2007-05-21

Easy to set up and to use,I love this DVD player. Just be sure to double check Amazon's shipping calculations on any order, as they charged me $26 to standard ship this tiny unit. The TV I bought at the same time only cost $17 to standard ship.

5 out of 5 stars The Excellent product one must have it .......2007-05-20

Ilove this product , CYBERHOME DVD PLAYER so much that i dont have
words to express it.I will always reccomand my freinds and family
to go for this product rather then having other brand costly DVD
players

3 out of 5 stars Old version better than the new one........2007-05-19

I had one CyberHome CH-DVD 300S Progressive-Scan DVD Player that I bought around 5 years ago and it was great, the dvd player I ever had. It could play everything including Divx format. I gave it to my Mom in Brazil and decided to buy another one, the same model, but they are coming different now. They look the same, they have the same name 300S but they are not playing Divx format. This is usually the format you have for dvds created in your PC. So, all taht big advantage it had before is gone. The only good thing remaining is that it still is a multi-region dvd player.

4 out of 5 stars This little gem has one feature no other DVD player apparently has........2007-05-18

First, this player produces a crystal clear picture equal to the pricier model I own of another very well-known brand.

The response time of this player to its remote is also twice as fast as my pricier model, with little to no lag between the time I press a button on this remote to the time the player responds to the command.

And now, the number one reason I bought this player: it has a "1/All" button on its remote that will continuously play and/or repeat all episodes on a standard DVD -- a small thing, but extremely useful, especially if the DVD itself has no "Play All" option on its root menu. Apparently, this is particular to this brand of DVD player; I've tried two other brands of DVD players and neither of them featured this ability. By the way, the first one I'd bought of these died within a year after purchase, but at this price, replacing it is not a mighty concern.
