Amazon.com Product Description

The Linksys HomeLink Phoneline network card lets you connect up to 25 PCs over a home's existing phone lines without having to buy extra hardware. Using AMD's PCnet-Home technology, this card allows phone lines to carry data at a 1 Mbps transfer rate without interrupting regular telephone service or feeds from a cable or DSL modem. You can talk on the telephone, download files from the Internet, and share resources over a network all at the same time. Every standard telephone jack in the home is capable of hosting a PCI-equipped computer, thus transforming the home's telephone wiring into an easily expandable network. With a 10Base-T port on the card as well, you can migrate to a 10 Mbps Ethernet whenever you want.

The Linksys HomeLink Phoneline network card comes with a five-year warranty.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Linksys HomeLink PhoneLine Network Card.......2002-04-14

Installed the Linksys HomeLink PhoneLine Network Cards on Win 95 and XP operating systems with the Linksys HomeLink Phoneline 10M cable/dsl router. The phoneline NIC's work great, easy to setup, and not a single problem with them. If you have a Linksys HomeLink Phoneline 10M cable/dsl router, this is the NIC to get for it.

4 out of 5 stars It works great when it finally works.......2001-10-25

I networked three PCs using the Homelink Phoneline system. It took forever to get it working, because the documentation is very incomplete, but now that it's working, it's wonderful. My daughter attends an online academy and I teach online and we can both work at the same time without a problem. janet

2 out of 5 stars Linksys HPN100: a little slow.......2001-01-08

The 1Mb/s transfer rate over POTS (phone line) is a little slow, and internet sharing crawls. The built-in ethernet port is nice, if you can run the cables.
